Sometimes statements are so ridiculous to where one has to question the poster's sanity. Such as shutting the game down for a full year. That is something to where I'm looking at you in absolute concern. Also, a lot of people DO throw out things acting like they're speaking for a large majority of people when they're not.
Personal Insults.
This is a well crafted debate.
But let me offer a rebuttal to restore SOME amount of intelligence lacking here.
If you say ""many people agree" or say things like "People are not impressed" anything that isn't singular to you in a sentence, you aren't speaking for yourself or your opinion.
Basic, English.
Even a Child Understand this.

This is essentially the pot calling the kettle black. Sorry, but if you cannot contribute meaningfully to a debate without devolving to calling one party a child then you really ought to consider who exactly is the child in this thread.
But to address the point, and many parties are guilty of this but if you attempt to use the words (and a paraphrase): "The majority of..."; "Most people..." then you are essentially just using thinly veiled words in an attempt to present an opinion as a fact, and both are equally as bad. You can find plenty of this in the "Ardbert's Party vs the Scions Analysis" thread, if you want.
I wish they would somehow adjust these island sanctuaries to function like housing (whatever it takes) so everyone could have an island to themselves + enjoy the perks of personal housing and still build and decorate what ever home they choosePlease at least consider one day SE.
Im still liking the idea of these sanctuaries!!!
I love the idea of minions roaming![]()
Probably wont keep me too busy, but they are something new and different and hope they add to them regularly.
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
In this case, he is "attacking" the data, because his comments on the source are not to do with the fact that he personally dislikes them, but explicitly that this statistical data has not gone through a process to ensure that the sample in question is representative of the broader playerbase, which realistically only SE possesses the means to do - other, unaffiliated parties could do it but it'd be a much harder and more resource-intensive undertaking for them. It is in the context of striker using this data as evidence of what the broader playerbase thinks, and Kazhar is correct to point out that this issue means that inference cannot be made. The data is fine if one understands its limitations.
Is this going to be some two wrongs make a right type game? That data is pretty ill-suited if you're trying to claim it represents the will of some great majority of players (or inversely that it allows us to deduce from it what opinions are held by a supposed tiny minority), as striker is doing, and then routinely claiming, as he does, that people need to qualify how they word things while ignoring his own advice. Beyond that, I'm not interested in some tit-for-tat between the two posters - I am sure Aveyond can defend themselves against any grievances you and others may have with them.
Good post. He's gone on record now a few times stipulating what he thinks a future MMO should or could) do (here, here and here, for instance.) I very strongly suspect he'd like to start with a clean slate, where he is unburdened by the technical restrictions of a game like XIV. Can't say I am too keen on Forspoken serving as a source of inspiration given what I've seen of it (unless you just mean its combat systems), but XVI is a different story entirely and at least appears to be an intriguing setting. I'm curious to see how XVI does and what he plans to work on next after it, XIV aside.

I strictly meant the movement and combat, and of course it's an MMO so both would need further tweaks but it's an example of a higher action and recent game with strong movement presence as a sense of derivable fun (like GW2 mount system). FFXVI also having fairly strong movement system too, in combat at least- not sure about just environment side of things.Good post. Any other relationship reference to forespoken was not intended. I was thinking of the core gameplay structures, as they design them, and test them, like FFXII had some relationship to FFXIV (particularly earlier on). Basically viewing them as games themselves but also concept builds and research opportunities.
Thanks for point out some of the hints I was talking about! Definitely have noticed before where he says a thing in passing and then years later you're like.... oh well I'll be .. There it is.

Eureka? Bozja? Like come on dude, this isn't anything new. Its "slightly" annoying, but its hardly a big deal. Its not going to stop people from doing the content just because they can't warp directly to it.I only wish that they had integrated the longstanding feedback of players wanting to be able to have instanced housing and accommodated that desire by letting them use exterior housing items and customizable biomes. From having to port to Lower La Noscea to then talk to an NPC to get to it to then having everything on the island locked behind timers and mechanics that remind me of when I played Dragon Vale a decade ago, I am concerned for the longevity and long-term interest in this content.
