Because this is what this is all about, claiming that you have the moral high ground by being objective, but in the same breath you make completely baseless claims with only the same kind of anecdotal evidence the other side uses. (and having no idea how much of an hypocrite this makes you)
Why does all discussion here have to devolve into this? Just endless petty wars over whichever sides gets the more votes instead of trying to argue if the idea itself has any merits?

He has none in reality. He uses a bunch of sites that are themselves not reflective of the broader playerbase and littered with their own issues in that respect, and then pretends they serve as proof of some grand majority, when in actual fact they are at best anecdotal and all suffer from the same issues as the OF (when are YT vid comments on 14 not positive? especially on content intended for fanboying it?), if not worse, plus depending on which subreddit you now look at (but really at this point, both main sub and 14 Discussion), there is growing division over EW. He has nothing along the lines of properly validated polling. It's almost like he's reading off a script given how he uses the same wording each time, like the frankly ludicrous characterisation of Reddit as a "cesspool of negativity" - 14 mainsub in fact represents the opposite extreme, and this has been the case before EW.

Essentially he is just here to try shame others for making claims he dislikes, insisting you have to add an "IMO" to everything, but when it concerns his own posts, it's just "facts", so no need for such pesky things... even though he has nothing but fallacious reasoning to offer in support of it. I'd weigh his posts accordingly. It's like a puffer fish in catboy form.

Oooh perhaps you mean the official popularity poll on the chinese FFXIV website which put the random Elpis axolotl over all the characters of the game, P3S' boss over Alphinaud and Tataru, or Hydaelyn's Dog over all the city-state leaders? The same poll where your "massively popular" Minfillia is nowhere to be seen in the top 32 despite featuring long dead and forgotten characters like Ysayle? An incredibly serious source which surely means that any criticism towards the game is nothing but the powerless cries of a tiny 0.0001% minority like you repeat in every single of your baseless posts.
Ah no I get it. You got your "objective truth" by watching YouTube videos personally curated by an algorithm to fit your interest and your views.

You have no idea what you're talking about, but you're so full of yourself that you think that by using the same Internet everyone else does only you can see the truth. You're the exact same as people you're trying to denounce, but with added hypocrisy to boot.

At our level, we can't know what is truly popular or not. We can make observations and get something that might get close to correct, but by implying numbers like when you talk about "extremely tiny minority" you're making the exact same kind of unfounded claims than those who says that their views are shared by an "wide portion of the community". (which you also do, btw)

Data is data. Just because you personally doesn't like where it comes from doesn't make it any more or less relevant. Attack the data, not the source of it.
