Obviously taking everything down for an extended period is unrealistic, but throwing bandaids at the game's biggest problems without fixing the actual source of the problem is just procrastinating the inevitable.

TESO places a heavy focus on player housing, makes it available to every player who desires to indulge in the system, every house acquired is accessible on any character on one's account and once you unlock it you can take a break for months or even years and still find it intact upon returning to the game.

That's not even getting into the sheer variety of houses on offer in terms of size and style or the many different furnishings on offer to suit a wide variety of tastes.

I'm sure some of the usual suspects will downplay the appeal of player housing because they, themselves, don't care for it but it strikes me as very disingenuous to pretend as if it isn't a highly popular feature in a game such as this and as such more should be done to make it accessible to every player who desires it.

I say this as someone lucky enough to own a large and a medium, so it's not a case of being salty because I don't have one myself.

But nobody reasonable would disagree that it would be nice that issues are solved.

Oh my bad, I guess I didnt read well enough what aveyond was saying. Let's ask.

Hey aveyond, do you think its an actual good idea for the devs to take FFXIV off for a year to fix these problems or was this just a simple "in my humble opinion"?

People want you to stop saying silly things, and bring PROOF to your claims. Or at least learn to be able to make it clear if you are Voicing a Personal Opinion. Because you have a bad habit of presenting things as an objective fact, and you bring up an invisible amount of people (or your friends/mutuals) and act like that is a concerning enough volume that the game needs to make Big Changes based on your suggestions......when the opposite is true.

If you dont hear it enough, or you ignore it, you have said things that make sense. Nobody disagrees that the game can be better and needs improvements. You, Theo, and many others say things that are agreeable.
But you also say things that are disagreeable, and sometimes make no sense.

There has been a lot of behavior that isn't conducive to productive discussion that I've noticed from the same handful of people, and it's honestly pretty tiring. If you want to interpret what I say as absolute statements of fact then that's out of my hands. If you want to demand that I provide specific sources for everything I say, you can do that but I'm under no obligation to go further deep into what are just general observations both in and out of the game.

I want FFXIV to be successful. I dislike the way that my well-intentioned suggestions are met with such resistance. I truly believe that if it were Zepla or MrHappy saying some of these suggestions that there wouldn't nearly be as much pushback against them. I am hoping that patch 6.2 does well but I've noticed some things that give me pause and have me concerned. It's ok if you're fine with how things are shaping up to be, but that doesn't give you the right to shut me down for asking for improvements.

I don't give a crap what any content creator thinks, so no matter who pushed your ideas and "many people think the way I do" opinions, I would still disagree with them.
