Thread: 6.2 Patch Notes

I have FF14 on an NMVe drive, I can deal with teleporting somewhere to get to Island Sanctuary. I hardcore did Eureka, Bozja, HoH, and POTD which all require teleporting to somewhere else first. It's really not a big deal teleporting and walking a few feet to an NPC. I would even welcome it if it were more than a few feet so I can show off my nice mounts on the way.

I think that people want features like instanced housing, better character customization, and a better glamour system and less excuses as to why they can’t happen. Just do it.

You'd give up Playable Content for Instance Housing...dear lord.
THANK GOD you dont make decisions for the Company, if you think taking the game offline for a Year to put in Instance Housing is a smart move. 12 months of Zero Revenue being made, just for housing and a few cosmetics. You have very bad Business Sense.

Yeah Yeah Yeah we all want things, it would be nice to get what we want with no excuse and no obstacles. But thats not reality. You cant just FIX IT like its nothing.
If it was that easy it would have been solved years ago.

Oh my bad, I guess I didnt read well enough what aveyond was saying. Let's ask.

Hey aveyond, do you think its an actual good idea for the devs to take FFXIV off for a year to fix these problems or was this just a simple "in my humble opinion"?

TESO places a heavy focus on player housing, makes it available to every player who desires to indulge in the system, every house acquired is accessible on any character on one's account and once you unlock it you can take a break for months or even years and still find it intact upon returning to the game.

That's not even getting into the sheer variety of houses on offer in terms of size and style or the many different furnishings on offer to suit a wide variety of tastes.

I'm sure some of the usual suspects will downplay the appeal of player housing because they, themselves, don't care for it but it strikes me as very disingenuous to pretend as if it isn't a highly popular feature in a game such as this and as such more should be done to make it accessible to every player who desires it.

I say this as someone lucky enough to own a large and a medium, so it's not a case of being salty because I don't have one myself.
