imo that dress looks kinda bad on everyone, its the hat and shoes that make the set worth buying.

Removing the gender-lock flag is probably not really the same as outright creating newer models for masculine and feminine hairstyles. Not that I disagree, because it would be nice, I just don't expect these 2 tasks to be similar in nature.

When it comes to fitting clothes that were strictly for one gender, it depends.

The bunny outfit for instance required a new model just to create the thing, even if it uses the same textures, it fits men differently compared to female toons, so it uses a different texture. Skirts? Not so much. Male clothing converted to female? Different body type requires a different texture. Pants/gloves/hat/shoes? Not so difficult since it is just adjusting the size of the model. The bunny outfit is a big exception to this

Basically it's 1/3 to 1/2 of the work done on tops and 3/4 for the rest. It means less work done on other things for little else than pandering. It shouldn't be a huge loss, but considering how things are handled wildly between great success and utter failure, well..

I don't care one way or the other,
But it would be the same resource team, It isn't as simple as just unchecking a box, they have to fully re-build / adjust the clothing models to fit on male characters properly.
Not to say that it's to the same extent as building hair modules, which take much more time but they would be pulling people and resources from making hair to make the adjustments for the clothing.
Some Male races can't use the same texture models, so they have to fully re-build the clothing for races like Roegadyn, Au Ra, and Hrothgar.
It is more likely that Square is fully re-building them for each race, to ensure quality is the same.

A lot of people seem to have the idea that they simply uncheck a box, that is not at all how simple it is. I just wanted to make a clarification they are probably spending hundreds of hours to make these changes.

This is a really subjective complaint. While you might be displeased by what had been worked on, others might really enjoy that, and I say it particularly not liking these hairstyles and glamour unlocks.

better vote with your sub then. stop supporting them if you don't like where things are going.

either that or buy enough stock to get on the board of directors so you can tell them what you want to happen.

I wonder if they will change a lot of the skirt on a male body?
