Suggestion: Let us use other races' idle poses (/cpose)

Idle poses play a significant part in a character's identity and personality, which is why I find the way the work rather lacklustre. While yes, there are enough of them, the fact that they're tied to your Gender and Race is rather annoying. Some of them are weird, other just won't fit the way you perceive your character, but one that might perfectly fit you belong to another race that you simply don't want to play.

And let's be real, there really isn't a reason for a character to have to stand in a certain way just because they're X race and X gender.

The best way to alleviate this is to make it so you can choose which race's idle animations to use with /cpose.

Considering the fact that most of the races excluding Lalafell and Roegadyn/Hrothgar use a modified Midlander animation rig, they wouldn't need extreme adjustments, especially since we're talking about idle poses which are static. The only issue would be the aforementioned races getting screwed over and Elezen/Au Ra needing further modifications due to their height.

100% on board with this. Allowing us to use other races' (and maybe even genders) animations and idle poses will allow for way more in-depth customization of a character. Yes, animations and poses are a huge part of a character and their personality. The way you are currently locked down to only using whatever is available to your race and gender is extremely limiting and can ruin an entire race for someone. As someone who mainly plays female midlander I wish we could have more animation customization across the board and having access to Miqo'te/Au Ra/Viera animations would be HUGE. Honestly, not even just the idle animations but also others such as the running animation. I can't stand the princess run of female midlanders, it just doesn't work when you are the WoL. And I know I'm not the only one with the amount of people I've seen complain or comment on the female midlander run animation over the past year. The fact that my character can wear full plate armor with a huge DRK sword on her back but has to run like she's late for school is beyond immersion-breaking.

Considering how seamlessly these animations seem to work they should consider doing something like this. They could even put these on the MogStation in separate packs or something, guaranteed they'll sell like hot cakes.

Edit: I came across this video a while back and it just goes to show how well running animations can work with other races too. It also shows idle poses. I would easily pay real money for this.

Please, I'd LOVE to have this... They would better also create an actual command for the pose (e.g. /idlepose 3) since there would be so many to cycle through.

As much as I love being a catboy, we are kinda shafted with idle poses:
- 3 of them are just the same left hand on hip "kettle" pose
- The default one aka "arthritis hands" is just awful to have
- The fourth one is a weird leaning forward hunch

I was watching one of the cutscenes from the new patch's MSQ and I see this (its cropped and doesn't really spoil anything):

Female Viera idle pose on a female Au Ra.. Clearly they think the animation works well enough to be used.
