Fathana, the worker who helps new hires understand their work contracts, completely contradicts what you're saying. She has no patron, and hasn't for some time--he died, and she remained in Eulmore to help new workers because he had been so kind to her. It's plainly stated that if you wish to stay in Eulmore after losing a patron, you can either find another, or do general work. They can try to rehab this if they want, but they introduced us to the concept of when someone couldnt fufill their job as a bonded citizen that they were thrown out the window. The servitude being coerced in exchange for food and housing doesn't make it any less slavery.
Additionally, this is away from the main point of the thread. The point is that it is MANDATORY for a player to do this.
The Amiable Maiden goes on at length that the free citizens of Eulmore (read: the 1% who were required to give up their wealth and holdings to run the city free for all, including the workers that outnumber them by quite a bit--only the formerly rich are required to do this.) appreciate and recognize the workers. Her Ardent Attendent goes on how wonderful it is that everyone is treated equally. There's even a bouncer in the Beehive to maintain a strictly hands-off policy for the dancers--unless they want to be touched. What an oddly thoughtful thing to do if it was actually slavery.
Throwing anyone out a window is actually a very new development for the city. You'll find out why later--if you pay attention to quest texts.
I s2g Eulmore is a test of critical thinking skills.

I think some people would be in trouble if there were actual hot bun boys n elezen running around. Course I'm sure some wouldn't want real cat boys running around.
have you even played the rest of the game or did you just boost to 70 or something.
no offense, but in the following of the MSQ we murder with impunity, so we can "borrow" things from the people and beings that no longer need them. and you choose THIS to be your hill?
if I remember correctly, we needed to get information, since we couldnt murder him like usual and just take something, we had to act to do something, in this case, dance on stage, to get the information.
not sure about you, but I just danced. was there a pole there, sure, did I use it no.
and where is there an indication he is a pervert? did I miss some information somewhere? was he sitting too close to the stage? did you catch him leering at women at some hot springs somewhere?
somehow, I think you are reading FAR too much into a small encounter in a night club.
but you do you ^^
So you prefer to get perverted by Sylphs (or other beast tribe who asked you to dance) than a human?![]()
If it felt bad, I think it did its job.
I'm not going to get into the details of the bonded citizens of course, people already have pointed out the dynamic, but now that you can relate and have lived through a fraction of the injustice the people of Eulmore experience... doesn't it make you wanna go put whoever made things this way in their place?
So... murdering all those Garlean soldiers in ARR, many of which were conscripts from other nations, torn away from their families and forced to fight for Garlemald, that's perfectly fine. It was a mild dance which finally felt wrong.
