    Constant 90001, 90002, and 90006

Never in my life I got these before so often and I played FFXIV for years. Never. Only during expansion releases or huge patches that servers are overloaded, but nowhere else.

Why am I getting them so much if there was no modification done to my computer?

    1. hardware goes bad, automatic patches can happen without your knowledge, and software can get corrupted, so not changing something in your computer doesn't mean nothing has changed in it.
    2. the Internet was designed for a limited-access military network (DARPAnet) that had to continue functioning during and after a nuclear war. But it was not designed for guaranteed high performance, or to resist DDoS attacks.

Yeah I have been kicked off about 4 times in the last hour with "90002". This was not happening prior to the 6.2 patch ... maybe it will correct itself in the short term ... let's see. When I try and log back in I get the "2002" error

To get rid of the 2002 error (And usually 90001+ as well) you can in Windows, type CMD into the search box, click on Run as admin, in the command window type: ipconfig /flushdns

If that doesn't work, you can unplug the modem for 60 seconds and then back in, if that doesn't work you need wait some time or connect using a hotspot with your phone and move the character then logout, that should fix your character (trying to connect to the DC where the character you got disconnected from is what seems to cause 2002, you should be able to connect to any other DC without issue).

After patch 6.2 I'm getting errors 90002, randomly but mostly when I zone in or out of instances - this never happened before, I did try out some steps like: reinstalling the game, changing to google DNS, disabled the Large Send Offload, all that did not help much....

    Greetings fellow Eorzeans,

I'm sorry to hear that the 90001, 90002, and 90006 errors are affecting many of you. These errors are most associated with a connection issue or interference of game data. For these specific errors, I would recommend attempting the following connection troubleshooting, as it may help with alleviating them:

    1. Try switching between a wireless and wired connection to see if the issue persists on either one.

    2. In your Control Panel, please select ‘Network and Internet’. Once there select ‘Internet Options’, and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC after. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    3. Please make sure any background applications (including anti-virus programs) have been disabled or closed. You may re-enable them later if this does not help with this issue.

    4. Lastly, if the issue persists, you may check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. If you require assistance with opening these rangers, you can contact your ISP and provide them with these numbers for assistance:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

I hope these steps help! Thank you for visiting the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums.

It's a Sacramento NTT data center problem. If you traceroute to the server(s) in question, you'll get multiple bad hops.
