    Blue Mage Carnival

Just my rant, the blue mage carnival needs an easy mode for disabled and/or older players that don't have the ability to fast click buttons or at least don't lock content/gear behind doing it. Square should also put in some crafted blue mage weapons.

I don't know what kind of disability you have, but are you unable to use hotkeys on a keyboard or a controller? That would greatly increase your reaction time.

Not sure which one you're doing but many become much easier to complete later when your kit is better. Though I suppose loom out of the meteor is a little gotta go fast. Said in another thread but imo loom should be an instant cast anyways, which might help there, since a cast and short range makes the spell generally feel really bad (and outside of that circumstance isn't really helpful).

If you say which ones are troubling people might be able to help, alternatively more specifically which things you think need tweaked if working with the system wasn't the intention of the post.

One thought I had on the content, as I felt there were situations where you could easily waste your time since you didn't have the intended gimmick spell was that perhaps each level except for capstone levels would have a kit and by completing those levels you could earn a spell from the kit. Like the one that requires the sticky tongue, gives you the base kit and says solve it- and then rewards you the spell if you win. With two additional thoughts, one you could choose to come in with a custom kit and two, the spells that you can get from the carnival might be upgrade-able by learning their wild variant. Such that you could learn sticky tongue in the wild and unlock a trait upgrade in the carnival (or learn in carnival and trait upgrade in the wild).

Helps smooth out the carnival and potentially solo experience. Artherial mimicry could be an early on spell, and the upgrade version is a toggle rather than a target.

I'd also be curious which one's giving the OP trouble. Mostly because while I'm all in favor of accessibility considerations in this game, I don't actually remember a lot of the Carnivale stages being particularly finicky or unforgiving on timing, save for one or two things in the (currently) final stage. So I wonder if OP is overlooking a less reflex-driven/timing-sensitive solution to whichever stage is giving them trouble; most do seem to have multiple possible solutions.

Loom is really difficult for me to use. It's been on my bars since I first got it but I don't think it's ever actually saved me because it's so clunky - I wish it worked more like Blink from WoW (or at least, the way Blink worked back when I played WoW millions of years ago). Fortunately there are usually alternative ways to (messily) work through the problems and the more spells you collect the more options you have, which I appreciate as a general game progression model. Locking resurrection behind progression was cruel though as my friends and I only started BLU recently (late to the party) and none of us have been able to revive during some of the tricker spell farming, which we're doing as a small group.

Blue carnival is a strange place. It all depends on what spells you have access to. You can play a lot safer (although slower) by using healer mimicry and pom cure. Other than that just learn the mechanics and learn to pre-position.
