We need a GM to clean out the Sargatanas Limsa and Gridania Aetheryte plazas.

As some of you may know, a huge eyesore has popped up in the Limsa and Gridania aetheryte plazas.

We lalafells had a small wall that we would congregate on to gather together, chat, and have a nice fun place to afk or log out at.

This incident all started out on Friday, 8/12 and has persisted on to now. A player was harrassing players who are RPers and lalafells. After they were banned, a number of level 3 players with similar characteristics popped up who are standing around and being, basically, low-effort trolls. A number of them have had terrible names with slurs (which have been dispatched by the GM team) and all of them say incredibly aggravating things, especially towards players who play lalafell characters. This player has been accusing those who play lalafells of vile things.

We now congregate in an end-game area to force them to spend money on subs and story skips if they want to harass us this badly, which honestly, we shouldn't have to do. One of the joys of hanging out in beginning areas is seeing the new players pop up and be mesmerized by the people hanging out. What's happening now is just a hostile troll-filled takeover.

The fact that we moved, and they followed should literally be enough to have a GM deal with this, but the support staff are clearly blind.

I also know of at least two people who will not be renewing their sub until somebody has done something about this.

This player spam isn't something that inspires joy like a dancing group or a number of different players showing off their glam - this is only misery and makes discontent. I know there have been a number of reports about this, I just wish someone would actually do something about it. I can understand the weekend, but it's Tuesday and they're still there.

This is also not even mentioning the roes that have data center travelled over from FAMFRIT just to do the same trash. Data center travel was a mistake, and the support staff are useless.

There is also one person my FC who will not be subbing until its over. Gripes of hangout locations are one thing, but spamming slurs and hateful speech is unacceptable to be left to happen for as long as it has been, (4+ days constant) unacceptable. It's not just the lalas that are displaced by this, its half of the limsa population. They are all tired of the drama, and disappointed at the lack of response.

Just a note: when you come to these forums to complain about annoying pests like the ones you've described (which probably won't help), and even more so if you unsubscribe because of them, the pests will take it as winning.
Their goal is to annoy you and drive you out: why are you letting them succeed?

You already found a way to defeat them: gather where they can't.
Do that for a while and see if they don't stop out of boredom.

It's not that they've just taken over or what have you - it's that they keep saying inflammatory and insulting things and there is nothing being done to stop it. There have been multiple reports about some of the disgusting things they've said, and it has persisted for 4+ days. It's not a matter of letting them win, they already know we're annoyed. We want something to be done about it, because we haven't gotten a concrete answer as to why yet.

Why should the GMs take drastic action to solve a problem you are able to solve yourself with a minimal effort?
Or is this really just about getting revenge on someone else?
If that's the case, then as the saying goes, dig two graves, one of them popato-sized.

Hi Silverbane - the GM's should, and are, taking action because these players are breaking TOS. More info on ffxiv tos can be found here. I agree that engaging the offending users directly prolongs the issue and should not be encouraged, however reporting is still reasonable action in instances where TOS is being broken.

Reporting, sure, report away.
For example, I reported your post where you name-shamed in-game characters, because I'm pretty sure that's a violation of the forum rules.

But wasting the GM's time by reporting trivial annoyances you could easily avoid?
