This happened a few months back when Steam did some giant sale and flooded their systems. I'm getting it too. Buying FFXIV through Steam is one of the worst decisions I ever made. I would even totally rebuy the game if I could disconnect from Steam but according to the Lords at Square, I would have to start the game all over.

Are you a steam user? I am having the same issue but from what I understand about the last time it happened, it is a steam issue.

I m having the same issue, yes I play through Steam, last time this happened was because of the Steam sale and even Steam itself was lagging back then. But now, Steam loads fine for me. I hope whatever this time is causing this issue to be resolved quickly...

ok i have checked by logging in at 10;45 am on sunday 8/14/22 east coast time. so far systen is working fine.

Same issue here as well. I suppose if buying the game on Steam is my greatest regret in life, then life really isn't so bad... but I'd still gladly pay to convert the account to non-Steam.

Yeah Steam is running fine for me too so I don't think its the usual "steam down ff launcher down" situation rn.

Same issue here. I tried restarting Steam, even rebooting my PC, but still getting the issue. I wasn't aware of a huge Steam sale going on right now though, just the usual random one-off sales they do on different titles.
