Healer DPS in WoW actually only became Mainstream in WoW after it had been pretty established in FF14 already. I haven't played during that time myself, but I think healers in raid content where already dpsing during ARR and I think it had been pretty much mandatory to defeat enrage timers in savage during Heavensward, while if I'm not totally wrong, healer dps in WoW only became more widespread when M+ rolled around but even then I think it only became truly mainstream somewhere along BfA. Healer DPS is much older in FF14 and it is kind of more incentivized because you don't have the constant chip damage to heal, you have much more ogcd heals compared to WoW healers and you do much more damage.
