Yeah but....when you have such odd takes like complaining about the "image of Final Fantasy XIV" and now complaining about Lopporits dancing (which obviously is playing into the next set of Hildibrand quests which that thing is appropriate for and ALSO A REFERENCE to the dancers in FFIV, and also this doesnt even matter in the grand scheme of things to cause players to unsubscribe to the game) then we as a community also need to discuss and look back into whatever feedback we give that's considered actually plausible and viable. You cant forever hide your nitpicks and complaints as good feedback.

This. The lopporits dancing is most likely part of Hildibrand where nothing is to be taken too seriously. Be like Cyr from the HW Hildibrand story and learn to throw any logical thoughts out the door. I'm a little surprised no one from the "everything must be serious and no wasteful animation" crowd didn't complain about how bendy parts of grandpa reaper's avatar was. No one should be able to bend sideways like that. Ahem. I don't think I saw any of the other "new" hairstyles besides the Snow hairstyle on the few Hrothgar they used when showing off the various gear sets or glamor. Course I'm not sure what the hairstyles they recently got currently look like on them so I wouldn't be able to go and say "Ah ha that Hrothgar has ears and is using the 2B hair" for instance.

Then we shall have to agree to disagree. I believe my feedback is both honest and relevant. Respecting fans of the antagonist faction, and yes in this case that includes Zenos, by not being dismissive about their concerns and fleshing out their stories to a sufficient degree is both plausible and viable too. Using appropriate imagery for the late teen-adult playerbase is also something they should be doing instead of cartoons that feel like they talk at the player rather than with them.

I have no interest in seeing Loporrits dance over the place where we fought Zodiark, and I am reasonably concerned that Lahabrea might have his character reduced in such a way as to push the notion that the Ancients were set on the path of auto-destruction (despite clear and readily available evidence in game providing evidence to the contrary).

Nevertheless, complaints are a valuable part of feedback and crucial for the game to see continued improvement. You might agree with some and not others. That is simply the way of things.

Wanna know something? You can also learn to admit when you have clear bias or strong opinions over something in the game AND understand that your opinions and ideas would probably not work for the greater good of the game.

I for one, would want some of the old school rpg elements be put back into current FFXIV such as TP or elemental attributes and cross class skills to give more flavor to combat, but guess what, I know these opinions I have are not good for the long term of the game and would be detrimental to the overall current experience where you get more frustration from the majority of the playerbase than the few who finds it appealing.

So yes, feel free to express your opinions. Its a free forum after all, but at least realize everything that you or I say should be taken as "this is how the game must be".

So in this thread, we find that players aren't really interested in talking about the Live Letter. They'd rather talk about how Samurais were betrayed by the developers when Kaiten was removed and whether Team Hydaelyn or Team Zodiark is more virtuous even though neither was a topic in the Live Letter.

Did Viera and Hrothgar hairstyles/hats also get mentioned along the way but I missed it?

I'm excited for most of the new content. Interest in Island Sanctuary dropped down because it looks like we can't customize building placement so every island is going to end up looking like every other island, and I'm sad that the developers choose to limit it to level 90 characters when it's content that would be appealing to all levels. As usual, the music sounds great.

When Yoshi-P was showing the pictures of the new casual gear, you can briefly see one of the Hrothgar's model finally having their ears clipping through the Snow hairstyle (which wasnt a thing before). So it looks like we got that whole lack of ears on new Hroth hair fixed.

for now just that hairstyle but the fact that they allow ears to show, could potentially mean they've done the same with the other hairstyles. At least I'm hoping thats the case. I dont play Hroth nor do I give a rat's ass about them but I care about people who care about that race and I think it's extremely short-sighted on the devs part for them to have gone for so long to have limited hairstyles for both Hroth and Viera (including ones you earn as rewards in game). I doubt that last batch of hairstyles has been fixed. They were a rush job to add in hairstyles that already exist in game.

They showed one picture with a Hrothgar using Snows Hair and having tiny little ears. So I guess they might have changed these recently added hairstyles? But could also have just been this one alone.

About Island Sancturary: I wonder how many buildings we can place, if we can later change their color and how many levels there are to grind. They did finish this part in the liveletter saying that they had not showed us everything here so I wonder what was still missing.
