I will go with tentatively excited for my thoughts on it all, mainly in regards to the MSQ. I will say in regards to the ongoing discussion I do hope we can expand the Trust system to use the Azem crystal to summon in our allies as eventually fulfilling "We need one of each of these roles present in the MSQ for the Trust dungeon" will get tiresome in my own opinion. I am also in the camp of I did want a break from all the Scions but hey at least I can escape them in my Island Sanctuary and Pandemonium I suppose. The rest of the content outside of MSQ seems rather interesting and as much as I may dislike Hildebrand I will still go do my relic as I like the grinds myself . I am really looking forward to Island Sanctuary and the gathering beast tribe, especially due to the adorable mounts from both as I will be super torn between using space jellyfish, mandragora, or defaulting back to amaro. I really also want to see the raid storyline and lament Themis deserved better. I really should wrap up Tataru's side quest as well before the patch as I put if off due to other game releases but i am excited for a continuation for that as well.

Xeronia: cutscene after Stigma Dreamscape kind set this up already![]()

I will ( since I seem to have someone who apparently doesnt like my tone ) ask you politely just how you come to that conclusion? Based on what exactly? Was it an article? A letter? Player feedback and if so, from whom?People have gotten bored of them.
Im not bored of them, no one I have asked is...so with all due respect, how do you know this?
Under what criterion? How do you come to that assessment on what is good for the game long term and what isnt?Keeping them around instead of introducing new characters who can deliver on fresh arcs and diverse personalities/origins wouldn't be to the benefit of the game long term.
So, no hamburgers then......There is no reason why 6.1 couldn't have picked up the pace by cutting the sequences with G'raha Tia's usual behavior and the other scenes that weren't conducive to getting the player involved in the meat of the upcoming arc![]()

Sometimes being "unique" is to a game's detriment rather than providing a positive experience for the player. Oversaturating the cast with scholarly types in the Scions did not create a well-rounded experience nor provide the sort of diversity in terms of both visuals and personalities that once more, are often found in most RPGs.
You can apply this concept to a number of issues with the game, from its "unique" housing system to its main party up until 6.2, to the controversy over limited jobs. At times it best to ground oneself by taking inspiration from readily available sources of media, whether they be other games, books, movies, or shows in order to gain new perspectives and see what people are gravitating towards.

Whah? The comic relief that appears to make up the Omicron Beast Tribe quests
I take it you didnt watch the cutscene at the end of Stigma Dreamscape then? That set of quests isnt comic relief, its a tribe questline for gatherers..and if you hadnt seen it, its also to help recreate visions of the lost civilisations
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZwWUymqsuU
"This units next task is to analyse the data, and utilise it in recreating remnants of lost civilisations from the depths of Meteion's memories. A cultural salvage operation if you will"
Hearing the songs and voices of those long past? Are you kidding? Id give ANYTHING to hear songs and legends, read the books of races long gone, lost to time...to hear the voice of those who were at the Alexandrian library, ask them what they saw, what they remember....we have lost so much, to even get a chance at that kind of lost knowledge would be priceless.
Seriously...if by some chance you got the chance to sit down and talk to Augustus, Tiberius, Cicero, Livy, Pliny, Tacitus, Diogenes...any number of gifted minds who could tell you first hand what they remember, what they saw, what they experienced..would you take it?
I would in a heartbeat.
How is that in any way comic relief?

At numerous points in the discussion there were requests of sources of feedback for the claim that players were growing weary of the scions. I will thus provide the following link.

So now reddit is not bad and is good for using as a source? Great, time to do some searching. At numerous points in the discussion there were requests of sources of feedback for the claim that players were growing weary of the scions. I will thus provide the following link.

Here we have a thread about Endwalker being better than Shadowbringers with 92% upvotes and quite a few comments.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme..._much_as_most/
This one is about someone not enjoying Endwalker as much. Only 62% upvotes and under 80 comments.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...one_else_find/
Another person that finds Endwalker boring. 54% upvotes and 51 comments, most of them barely get any upvotes.
And just because I found them, two character polls (Japanese and chinese) after Endwalker
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...dom_character/
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...pularity_poll/
Quite a few of the scions are in the upper rankings, so they cant be that bad.
Yes, they can. Not liking Venat, the Scions or Endwalker gets you downvoted by the Reddit mob, more news at Eleven. This is not evidence, it's a "Gotcha."So now reddit is not bad and is good for using as a source? Great, time to do some searching.

On Reddit you can be downvoted, which hides what you have to say from the public eye and its far too easy to dogpile a dissenting opinion that may very well be valid. You can't do that here, which I suppose makes it fraught with peril to be a Venat supporter. My gods, the utter horror.I know the forums are different, I even said as such in my post. I was pointing out how every other platform caters to pro-Venat people, while the forums are a more fair place for discussion. The person I was responding to said that it was difficult or 'daunting' to be pro-Venat on this platform. This is not the case, it is merely not as incredibly easy and popular to be pro-Venat here as you'll actually encounter people who don't share your opinions. The forums are what a social media community SHOULD be (or at least far closer than anything else), but this person is accustomed to echo chambers and thus apparently finds the opposing opinions on the forums to be scary.
I did bring up one thing about the forums that makes it more difficult to be anti-Venat, but even with that in mind, I'd rather be posting here than on other sites.
See what I said in my response to Awesome above. Reddit operates so that dissenting opinions are easy to obfuscate and shove neatly out of view. You can't do that here, which I guess makes it difficult to be a Venat supporter. Somehow. You ask me, the way this forum operates is how forums should operate and I cannot comprehend the reasoning behind any complaints on allowing us who have issues with Endwalker and its message to freely express our views without being downvote bombed. Point is, the way other forums and social media operate are unhealthy and antagonistic.I am sorry but I feel I must defend myself a bit here and say that is... hippo crap? Forums would be a very boring place if we all just agreed on everything, especially when it comes to topics of lore and how we are effected by its story and themes. One of the beautiful things about fiction and art is how it can be interpreted and judged in different ways, be it for good or bad. I have found it very interesting to see why people do feel the way they do about Venat and Endwalkers themes, some of the opinions shown on this forum have even opened my eyes into flaws I did not see in my playthrough, though my mind has not be changed on its major points. Perhaps ‘daunting’ was the wrong word to use, and I am sorry. I did not mean to imply any victim hood. In this forum however, it just feels to me that over time… passive-aggressive retorts and accusations of ‘echo chambers’ in regards to those of us who do like the expansion/Venat have become a little more common then actually listening to opinions and debating said lore. Personally speaking it makes trying to engaging in such topics from the side the pendulum swings less feel a little… redundant somtimes.
I'm not gleefully rubbing my hands together at your discomfort like some Saturday morning cartoon villain, if that makes you feel any better. I just want to be able to express what I think without it disappearing into the aether like it does on Reddit.
