That woman definitely becomes part of that tree, though I suppose she's just an imprint on the bark. Looks like she's in a lot of pain.

I suppose, as was introduced with Lahabrea, she could be a previous Halmarut or maybe even the next in line?

Huh, didn't Yoshi-P say in one of the interviews that the new expansion doesn’t really become obvious until 6.5,but then an event will happen to the world that sets up 7.0?
Just a stray thought - what if we don't fix the Void, but accidentally cause a rejoining?

I'd honestly prefer this and to then deal with the repercussions of one than a generic adventure in Meracydia or the New World.

I'm of the mind that the Void-Golbez will invade the Source with the Giant of Babil at the head of a Void army. It would allow whole world reuse, as well as new area going, to fight on all fronts, which could come from anywhere since Void Gates can be anywhere.

That would be... pretty terrible and I'd hate it.

I also think it cuts off a lot more potential than it makes. Like, you've just completely taken the concept of fixing the Thirteenth, exploring more of the still-messed-up Thirteenth, and the entire concept of the voidsent off the table. In favor of... what? Everyone is intangibly slightly beefier, but at a rate so uniform across the Source that it doesn't make a difference?

EDIT: Also I'm pretty sure that kinda breaks Reapers on a conceptual level; our Avatar is mostly over there. You rejoin the Thirteenth, Reaper no longer functions on a basic level.
