As far as the MSQ goes, I think y'all have the right of it. Though I will say that the scythe the reaper lady is wielding is not the default reaper scythe. It's more slender with less spikes. Elegant, even. I'm confident that she's Zenos's avatar.

Kind of thought I heard Zenos's VA in the trailer. You don't suppose that Zenos's shard is Golbez, and the avatar was actually tasked with bringing his soul to him? Perhaps our villain is getting a soul shard this time around? And with it being a source shard that's several times rejoined... that could up the ante appropriately.

Something I'm curious about is why the heck we're getting Venat's Meteion GPS crystal back.

If we're not using it for some immediate purpose in the current storyline, I could very easily see it becoming a chevkov's gun that serves as part of the lead-in to 7.x.

That tree looks specifically like an Olive tree, if you look at the leaves. The same tree, you might recall, carries a special significance to the Athenians.

I don't think that they'd pass up an opportunity for a showdown with the Speaker of the Convocation at the height of his powers, especially after they did such a magnificent job with Loghrif's time-space magic in E12S. Lahabrea may well have been the most formidable of the big three in his prime even despite Emet's raw aether reserves, which is why they likely specifically went back to redo his Praetorium fight. And no fight short of a two-part Savage finale is ever going to do him justice. I think that he's more likely to be fought in P8 than in P12, though, because I suspect that this tale is going to be about bringing his soul to peace with whatever happened down there. Which is probably where Claudien and the stone in the present comes in.

There's plenty of room for surprises around the circumstances of that fight, though, be it in terms of Eric or Athena. I wouldn't be surprised if things go horribly awry at the end of P8 just in time for the 8 month cliffhanger.

It is a bit interesting how the Carbuncle started out by design during the Ancient era and was one of the more illegal projects for the Ancients.

It was a horror in earlier design but now all cute and fluffy.

Yeah I love that Carby went to the gym and was deemed too spooky to be released into the world and thusly got sent to Pandeamonium. Then only to have someone remember him as a cuddly fluffy ball of awww. That we don't even send out to fight anymore cause heaven forbid he gets angsty.

With the reaper lady, suppose that she might just be someone from the 13th that isn't corrupted into a monster? Maybe there are people there who are struggling to survive to not be turned into monsters, much like people were on the 1st were trying to not become sineaters?

The presence of normal people on the 13th give a reason for it to be saved. If it was just full of monsters, we'd really only need to save the sister dragon and gtfo.

Regarding Zenos' voidsent, what evidence is there that it is special other than it came back to life after Zenos' death? The story has provided no evidence that it is special beyond it's association with Zenos. Furthermore, Zenos has risen from the dead once before so it's not a difficult jump that because voidsent was in a pact with Zenos that it was able to transcend death, especially it managed to do so in place of Zenos' soul (who was confirmed dead).

Voidsent being able to "come back from the dead" is nothing new or special. As Scarmiglione helpfully reminds us, death does not exist in the Void - there's no Lifestream due to the extreme Dark / Astral corruption, and killing a voidsent on the Source just sends it back to the Thirteenth (since most are just summoned as souls a la the Scions to the First). We've seen this before, with Diabolos (who after being defeated in the Lost City of Amdapor returned to menace us as the main antagonist of the Shadow of Mhach raids) and Ferdiad (who looks like he's back for a third bout).

You say that, but remember how Eden Prime was the first boss of the Eden raids and not the last? Remember how Zodiark was the first trial of EW, and Anima was only a dungeon boss? If Lahabrea is indeed the boss of P8, then they're holding the cards close to their chest and are throwing all of us for a loop, again.

That's rather a different strain of logic. They never show what the actual final boss is; they showed Eden Prime, but not Eden Titan. I remember for a fact that E8 was left completely unrevealed until release, same with Eden's Promise. Hesperos was an enigma for Pandaemonium's first leg. Hell, even in Endwalker's main quest: our predictions were all broken because we thought they showed us the final boss, but they never did, because they never do.

We have, confirmably, seen three Eden bosses: Proto-Carbuncle, the lady, and the tree. Presuming that none of those are a different phase of another (which I have seen suspected about the lady and tree), that leaves one gap, which all pattern recognition says is Pandaemonium #8, because it's the only one they wouldn't be willing to show us. I also think it can't be Lahabrea's Boss Mode that they're hiding, because they've already shown us proof that Lahabrea's gonna do something cool, but not its context. This actually reminds me of the 6.1 trailer, where we saw 2P clashing with someone but didn't see who--because if we saw who, we would've learned who the final boss of the Copied Factory was. So I think Lahabrea's on our side, at least for now.

Someone mentioned that in the JP trailer some of the lines are rather distinctly spoken by Lahabrea's VA (Which has remained unchanged since ARR on their end), and given that the only voice acting is either in the MSQ or trials/raids I feel pretty convinced he is going to be helping us initially, but temporarily succumbs to whatever is influencing the other warders in Pandemonium.
