Not quite in the same spirit, perhaps, but you can also see when an SCH or SMN doesn't have their pet out, when a DNC or SGE hasn't picked a partner, and when a tank doesn't have their stance on.

Yes but it's not visually jarring. Dropping Astral/Umbral doesn't spawn a dunce hat on your nicely glamoured mage with a big goofy poof.

There's a lot I personally find aesthetically distasteful about NIN, but the dumb rabbit is objectively there just to clown you.

No one is gonna know that I dropped my Kaiten... correction, my non-existing Kaiten. I can fk up endlessly now. The bunny hat is really something for NIN. I don't even know if its a reference to an older FF game, it would somehow not surprise me.

Yuup, Setzer's Slots ability from FF6 has a rabbit with any losing combination.

So hey I haven't actually played ff6 yet,(though I want to) but from other crossover content I've read and games like dissidia, I've gathered that Setzer isnt really a ninja/assasin type character. Isn't he a gambler/slots type character? In that case I would like see a job specifically tailored to that fantasy trope put in ff14, and move the rabbit effect to that job.
