    Changes to Older Dungeons and EXP

    Having just returned after a couple year absence and I see they've updated a lot of older dungeons for use with Duty Support system... in doing so, they've removed a LOT of the mobs to tone them down.

    I also see that they made changes to dungeon EXP so that it's only granted by defeating bosses, but have they made the EXP higher with this change (due to removing mobs), or lower? I used to level up my characters using Squadron dungeon runs, so I'm curious how these changes impact EXP gain via dungeons with Squadrons, Duty Support and Trusts.

    I'm not 100% certain but I think the exp is a little bit less then what it used to be.

    Along with the stat squish, the xp curve was also adjusted, so it may seem like less. It's probably more or the same. Cap dungeons never had the best xp but it seems better now. Leveling dungeons remain the best reward on their own.

    I just started lvlin Warrior Tank, so i played thru all the ARR Dungeons.
    It was interestin cause i also wanted to see the changes Square made to those Dungeons, and i was interested to feel the difference between WAR and PLD.
    Im PLD, and always hated WAR but its nice to try from time to time.
    So in the end i played most dungeons at least twice (PLD and WAR).
    Because i needed time to check maps and surroundin and stuffs, i did it with Duty Support NPCs.

    1. It feels like more XP.
    Lvl progression is indeed faster.
    From my personal pov, its mucho grande faster.
    But as Deveryn said, the curve has been changed so its a bit more complex.

    2. It feels easyer, if not much easyer.
    The damage income is low, the Bosses are easyer.
    There are less mobs...? Well it feels like it o.O (should check that online...okay, its complicated)
    Heres a List of things that changed and stuffs -> VIRUS!111!!...well...no, its kotaku...

    3. Duty Support NPCs feel easyer and smarter than Squad NPCs.
    U dont have to tell them anythin, they just work out of the box.
    I wouldnt W2W pull the fk out of the Dungeon, but its not thaaaat slow.
    Tough that may change if u play Heals etc.
    I remember only 2 times NPCs were killed.
    One time the heals for whatever reason, but it was at the end of the fight so no problem at all.
    And one DD, i cant remember what the problem was but id assume it was due to AoE irritation whatever.
    So no problem until lvl 50.

    In the end i was a bit torn between "mhmpf, too easy" and "Wow twinks jumpscare lvl 50 now".
    But each to their own i guess.

    btw...
    One thing i rly dont like at all is that they've made it so we get XP per Bosses.
    BUT still theres the 10 minute kick thing runnin.
    So if u run with NPCs and u have smthn to do inbetween, u still have to watch the counter.
    I tend to forget time, so i dislike it.

    Less experience because of the stat squish. Less experience overall because the chain bonus was disabled in dungeons.

    Do roulette leveling once a day, end of story.
    (1/3 of the exp bar whatever the level, that's several M Xp lvl 80+)

    After the stat squish, it seemed that the percentage of a level earned for clearing a dungeon either sent up or stayed the same. The difference is negligible in my opinion. The only thing people might miss was the Dzemael Darkhold pull since all that exp was now locked behind the boss.

    at level 81+ you are better off queueing for your highest level dungeon, gives exactly half a level

    OK... so I've been running NG+ to try to get familiarize myself with the game again... and have found the Duty Support system to be fantastic! I have yet to have a single NPC die. Note tho, I did level skip my RDM to 80, so I'm in full iLvl 530 Cryptlurker gear. But a funny thing happened... I was at the Copperbell Mines dungeon and realized after selecting the dungeon, I was going into "The Porta Decumana"!!! So... the first phase was pretty exciting and the NPCs handled everything like a champ. Second phase, out of the blue a huge explosion and I dropped dead. Next round with Echo, everything went smoothly and completed with no further deaths. All in all, I was shocked how well the NPCs handled it.
