Thats not me personally, I do think there is more praise for Endwalker then there is Hate, but that doesnt mean anything special to me.
Its just a videogame, and everyone has an opinion.
Better to scream at a Cactus then a Mirror. They are great listeners. Mirrors just repeat what you say and act like its smart.
Because the two sets of videos has 2 different purposes.
The starter guides are a marketing tool aimed at those not already playing the game. It covers simple game basics that a new player will experience.
The JP "House Party Play" (actual translation from the titles) guides are targeted at those who are now players and teach the basics of group combat. They don't cover a lot of the things mentioned in the starter guides, such as quest types and using the game map.
Didn't say you were, but I think its fair to acknowledge that it's not typically the anti-Endwalker people that use argumentum ad populum to pretend like the other side barely exists. Aveyond (nor myself) isn't saying that people who disagree with him are some small minority, he's saying that it's not just a handful of people who don't like what's been happening recently.
Very true, with this I can agree.

But they have insinuated that its a silent majority who dislikes Endwalker, which is most definitely not the case.Didn't say you were, but I think its fair to acknowledge that it's not typically the anti-Endwalker people that use argumentum ad populum to pretend like the other side barely exists. I'm not sure about a definite majority but I can easily believe that there is a very large amount of people who dislike Endwalker and are uncomfortable with saying that they do, causing them to be silent on the matter. Disliking Endwalker has been very unpopular in the 'mainstream' for a while now. Only recently have people built up enough will to express their real opinion on Endwalker and look what's happening to them. If they try and make a thread on the forums, they'll have pro-EW people come in and attempt to derail the topic. If they post their pro-zodiark comic on Reddit, it'll get downvoted into oblivion (even though the art itself was amazing) and eventually removed by mods even though it didn't break any rules. Hell, Zepla herself labeled anti-Endwalker people as 'trolls'. With how hellbent the pro-EW community is on silencing any negative opinions, no wonder most anti-EW people are silent. I would be if I didn't care so little about what other people thought of me.
The thing about insinuating either side is that we just don't know. My philosophy on the whole thing is keep everything as your own opinion or that of your close group of like-minded friends and don't make grandiose claims beyond that, either for or against a topic. Unless you can poll a reasonable portion of the playerbase there is no way to make claims about what the playerbase feels about something.
True. I personally believe that the anti-Endwalker community is larger than most think (which isn't a high bar to reach), but at the end of the day we have no way of really knowing, we can just make guesses. And that goes for the pro-EW community as well. With how echo chamber-y most socials are with this expansion, there really hasn't been a chance for a fair (posting a poll on r/ffxiv will most likely lead to a positive result for example as its a positive echo chamber) and anonymous (to prevent fear of harassment in-game from keeping people from participating) poll. Honestly, the only way we'll probably ever get a completely fair and anonymous poll is if SE did it themselves, and I don't think they'd want to open themselves up to a potential negative response. The thing about insinuating either side is that we just don't know.
