....what Blue Mage feels like in XIV.

My account has been deactivated for awhile because I am taking a break (No, the break is not related to hating the game). Before I lose my posting privileges; the more and more I play BLU, the more empty it feels.

It just does not seem like there is much to do. I feel like the entire, "Not being able to complete the story" is way to excessive.....

Isn't FF mostly a story? And one of the prominent jobs cant even do it. BLU needs some changes, imo of course. I don't keep up with XIV feeds, maybe something was announced, idk.....

BLU isn't a prominent job though, it's a limited job. Basically an after thought to try and appease the ones that wanted it added to the game. BLU was never meant to be any part of the story. It has it's own little story, but that's it. That's all it was ever meant to be in FFXIV.

If Red Mage, Summoner, and Dark Knight ended up becoming full jobs in this game there’s no reason the same couldn’t have been done for Blue Mage. Nowadays it seems like the job has been abandoned with it no longer taking up a place in the 6.X roadmap, to say nothing of other limited jobs. It seems like they’ve realized the concept wasn’t going to work out long term, or better yet, that turning classic Final Fantasy jobs like Blue Mage was only going to cause needless controversy that the game would be better off without.

BLU is just the "Ok...time to cheese some content and all by myself." job. That's all it ever will be.

For me it's the "OK I wanna die so time to blow myself up cause I'm not paying for the "play dead" emote".

BLU was kinda an afterthought. I'd honestly love it if that job ever became fully fledged though. So much untapped potential with it in current savage.

As it is, you just take it to cheese low level content. Nothing more.

BLU will never be a real boy. It's just there to mess around with pretty much. hence why it's limited in what it can do. just stop huffing hopium. it's fun to one shot old primals for WT. and if you want the fun, then do all the masked carnivale stages and get your morbol mount. voila.

Keep Bluemage the way it is...the second they turn it into a "Normal" Job, is the very second it will stop being Fun.

BLU is fun side content and a savage tier.

ShB had two cap raises and some great QoL additions. We'll likely see just one update per expansion now.

Blue Mage is literally its whole side content. I just hope we see it updated soon or at least around post-EW's patch cycle.
