Yet another Rescue thread?


Does this has anything to do with the new starter guide where the viera SCH rescues the newcomer?

We need the option to choose if a Healer can cast Rescue on us.
I know what I do and don't want to be rescued.
If I die. then let it be my problem. I saw to many Healers using rescue on me.
They pulled my Char in Aglaia Raid into the Fire, rescue me out of a save situation into AOE's and so on.
No other Char / Job should have an ability to pull my Char into something.
And if Rescue is needet, then hey why not every Job get that Spell? Would be just fair.

Just because something is needed doesn’t mean every job needs to have access to it. Healers having it makes the most sense, given how their primary responsibility is keeping people alive. Why would a melee DPS need that? Or a physical ranged? Or a caster? Or a tank?

It’s a niche ability. It’s not *needed* in the sense that it’s *required*—but it does have some very effective uses. Don’t blame the tool because of how some players use it.

That’s fine. As long as those who choose not to be Rescued do not start blaming the healers when they die or aren’t healed because they’re too far away. Most of my Rescues are to pull people into range of my healing because they want to hang out in Narnia. If you choose to be there and choose to not get healed or Rescued into healing range, please accept responsibility for that. I get tired of being blamed for the BLM or the BRD not getting healed when they’re too far away and miss all of my AOE heals. That isn’t a healer problem.

Imagine not being able to read your healer's mind and popping Surecast/Arm's Length right before they can slam their little fingers on the Rescue button

How about people just do the magic C word and COMMUNICATE??????

It's not hard to use your words in a non aggressive way. I'm not doing that right now cause people act like it can only be used wrong.

But people just wanna go 'wah remove it because I might have over reacted to someone using it on me and trying to help'.

I had never a good Rescue, 99% moved my Char into AOE's so that I died. Even if I said at the beginning of a Trial, Raid, Alliance, Dungeon, that I don't want to be Rescued, then Healers do it to 100% on purpose just to mess you up. At this point communication is useless. Why not give Players the ability to disable Rescue?

Obviously so I can pull people who complain about rescue in front of the boss, right before the cleave buster. They already took away our ability to shirk annoying dps, give me a new tool to get them killed lol.
