    Was there ever an FFXI animated series?

    Ive been looking at some fan art, and I have found several that look like stills from an animated series. I mean real HQ looking action shots.

    check out koga on youtube XD did some very nice animations but wasnt a series sadly as he just did it for fun. But its extremely easy to animate ffxi characters and you could make a full 3d (or vector style it if you like) animation.

    dont really need to be animated to just make one.. ya know.. gimp, photoshop, corel painter are awesome tools to make that happen.

    I have my doubts if it is taken from an animation of any sort though, the quality is ridiculous.
    I don't think any company could justify that kinda money on an FF-XI project like that.
    That being said, I would love to be wrong on this one, and it does have an animated/cel-shaded look to it.

    It's not an anime. The artist made several similar pics, and many other artists did as well. They made them to look like they were stills from a show.

    Actually......
    those ffxi was never an anime...
    it was easter egged in an anime.

    Watch "welcome to the NHK" and there are a few episodes where the main character plays an mmo as a rmt to make quicj cash. The game oddly has similar character designs as ffxi.
    Like the lil brother of the girl he meets that goes on a suicide cruise. He plays what looks like a taru taru the main guy looks like a hume rdm.
