Not really a question if you should or not, but whether or not you want to do it or not.
If you want it then you have nothing holding you back.

Ha that's nothing compared to the ARR relic grind if you want the zeta weapon. Be prepared for RNG 'rep grind'.I know you all say don’t bother with it or wait but neglected to tell y’all that I used to play wow with all kinds of grinds like reputations to torghast it’s self. If the books are not as bad as rep, torghast, or warlords of dreanor I think I can do it. If not then I will wait.
With how it was nerfed post ARR, it's actually not that bad for the drops. Sure, it can still take some time, but I find the books to be the absolute worst since even if you are clearing other FATEs to try and force the ones you need, it takes a LONG time for some of them to come up. The light grinding(both) can easily be done doing Stone Vigil unsynced, and just running through the whole thing smacking only what you need to for progressing through. Back in ShB I was doing sub 5min runs of it, on classes that weren't decked out in current endgame gear.
It's entirely up to you if you like the look since they're just for glamour now unless you're around that level.
I will say many of the ARR relics look pretty amazing and are well worth doing for the glamour. The book step absolutely sucks, but I personally feel the final product is worth it. Especially because you can do the kettle quest afterward and get some outdoor items and glowing kettle weapons for PUG/MNK. If you don't have a PUG/MNK on that char, it's worth it to level just so you can beat the heck out of things by smacking them with two glowing kettles.
Then even the ARR relic will be a breath of fresh air. Rep grinds...*shudder* Though I can't remember in WoW if you could do what you could with faction grinds in EQ and make yourself kill on sight to your own home city.I know you all say don’t bother with it or wait but neglected to tell y’all that I used to play wow with all kinds of grinds like reputations to torghast it’s self. My personal opinion...DO IT.
The Dragoon Longulis Zeta looks great in game.
It is abit of a grind and will feel like it takes forever. But when you get it..happy times.
In your home city, no. There was an idea way back in WoW's original beta stages to let people accumulate "dishonor points" and eventually become hated by their own faction, but it never made it live.
It is possible to get yourself hated with the four neutral goblin cities, and is necessary to grind rep with the Bloodsail pirates. And then you can very tediously grind rep back up with all four cities without losing Bloodsail rep. It's one of the worst and dullest grinds in the game, but it's doable.
It’s worth the grind. Go for it. I really like the PLD & MNK relics.
Petition to have the Garlean gunblade & armour added in the game:

Glam is life, and the ARR relic chains get you some good weapon glams. Worth it. That being said, it's decade-old content - there isn't exactly a hurry and it's definitely nothing to get burned out over.Howdy y’all,
Ok so I’m interested in only doing one arr relic and this is doing the dragoon one. I’m on the book quest and want to know should I quit or finish the relic weapon? My Goth Rog would look awesome with it and I love glamour but I don’t want to feel burned out. I’m still on arr and I finished the crystal tower. My dragoon is 71 and I’m on arr part 2. So what do y’all think ?
For instance, I am for the first time doing beast tribe quests, and here and there I'm going back to do the ARR tribes. It will be a LONG time before I get those maxed out, but it's just something that I do here and there when I just feel like doing a bill of ultra-chill gaming. I'll get them maxed eventually, but no hurry.
(That being said, I'm not really one for grinds, so I did the ARR quest for NIN, my main, and never plan to do it again. I haven't done Eureka and probably never will because that particular style of grind is basically anti-fun for me.)
It's old content that you don't really need much help for unlike the SB/ShB relics. Do it at your own pace.
The Nexus Weapons are some of the best looking in the game. Definitely Recommend.
