Why the limit on Aquariums?

Why is there even a restriction on this? My apartment has space for 6 Tier 4 Aquariums along the edges. So why are you limiting me to 4? If I want more, I have to get a Large house, which is literally impossible.

You're stymying my creativity, and it's lame, and I hate it. Remove the limit.

I think it's how the tanks are coded that makes it so that you're limited to the amount. I know when they first came out it they talked about something dealing with the glass in them.

Ok, but Large houses are allowed 8. So why cant I have 8? Or even 6? It's an arbitrary limit based on house size, and with the stupidity of house availability, this feel antiquated and ridiculous.

I'm in a FC. We're still stuck in a small. This fixes nothing. And I'm not looking to decorate a FC house, I want my own. So, again, this solves nothing.

It's part of what makes a large special; same deal with number of NPCs, mannequins (I think), garden plots. Larges should have more than Smalls because, well, they're large.

If Small gets 6, do they also increase M and L limits? Or do they just make all houses have the same limits regardless of size? What about the limit of furnishings?

It makes a lot of potential for more screaming/complaining in the already noisy housing situation. Frankly not worth touching for the Devs as no matter what they do, someone's mad.



That said, there might be a solution to just allow, say "10 SPECIAL THINGS", which include all of the above. So if you want 10 aquariums, ok, but you won't have any slots for a garden.

I get what you're saying, and that's exactly what I'm protesting. With the housing crisis, I think these limitations are ridiculous. Your proposal is interesting, and without deep thought, I'm not directly opposed, but also, remember that what you are proposing does not affect apartments that cannot have gardens.

Honestly, the only limit should be the limit on the number of items, not the type. Period.

If they could fix the housing issue, and make it so that anyone could have a Large house if they could afford it, then fine, I can be on-board with that. But that's not the case.

I honestly think it's the best solution (like you said without deep thought on it). My FC Large has an aquarium basement, and we would love like, 4-6 more as we can only effectively use 1/2 the basement. We don't really care about gardens outside or being able to have more than 1 of each kind of NPC, so it feels wasted somewhat.
