    Split body animations (lower+ upper)

    Are we ever going to get them? Why not?
    Wow had them 20 years ago. You can't do it?
    What's stopping you?

    I mean it just looks so silly when casting a ability in a pose,
    frozen stiff legs, floating around like a chunk of butter in a teflon pan.
    Billion dollar company doesn't want to pay their animators to rig the models?

    We use to have Motion Captured animation back in 2010 - 2012 but they were costly and so they just stop making them in favor for the animations you see today.

    I used to play a female draenei warrior and her common 1-hand attack animation was one where she spun around. If my legs were unable to move, she would only spin her upper body in a very painful way.

    Don't we have that already with some instances? I think for the PVP main spammable action, Bards and Machinists can move the lower body while the upper body is casting the attack.

    I'd love to have it more widespread - no more sliding animations for casters.

    FFXIV (Modern) is surprisingly cheap in comparison to what 1.0 cost to develop allegedly. 1.0 cost 400,000,000 and the budget since has allegedly been 200,000,000~ for a total of 600,000,000~
    The game gw2 cost a rumored $200 million to develop
    They did it for at least the same money?

    WoW didn't have split animations, it had models where half the rigging frequently glitched in one position.

    NGL I actually like seeing myself slide while casting. Maybe it's just me but it looks kinda funky in a good way lol

    1 0 also had flower pots that had as many pixels as a player character and servers that were on fire.

    In GW2, playing as an Asura ranger with a 2H sword has the auto-attack finisher being kind of a double pirouette. I'm sure you can imagine what it looks like when your legs are busy. Who needs a working spine anyway?
