FC rankings need to be accessible in game

I just feel the need to put this out there. (1st post btw, hello~)*

The FC system as it stands it kinda weak in terms of a long-term community centric system. The lack of in-game communication (or rather restrictive amount of allotted text) and the need to utilized external hubs to accommodate that is just one thing, but I feel a good starting point would be to have the FC ranking system in the game as well.

A simple NPC at the 3 Grand Company locations or utilize a current one to check and see not only FC rankings, but to check personal rankings as well. I feel this would help small FC do more to grow as it would show actual contributions made to the FCs instead of simply "lack of talking in chat" or "lack of people to do things with/online playing".

The weekly and monthly placements for FC can also reward titles for said placements and higher ranked individuals/ FCs, could even have special rewards like coffers for glams/mounts already in-game or to be featured on the LftP/community streams.

Just something to help bolster longevity and a bit more engagement in-game for FC growth. Thoughts? Feel free to speak them or shoot this down as a good few will bc "eww competition" but competition is healthy in moderation

Fine by me. I made an FC for me and two of my friends, neither of whom play anymore. So, it's just me, chugging along at rank four.

I get requests for invites kinda regularly; guess people like the name. Whatever. So I figure, sure! I'd love to meet new folks.

They join -> "Oh, thanks anyway, but you're only level 4 and I wanted blah blah blah and such and such." -> They quit.

This happened to me three times before I started telling people, in advance, "hey, if you want to join that's awesome but this FC is just me right now and it's only level four."

Never had anyone join since.

I'm down for people being able to see what my three-person, two-of-whom-are-inactive, level-four FC is all about, without me having to explain it to them.

I don't think the OP is referring to a FC's rank. The OP seems to be referring to the Grand Company leaderboard rankings that get posted on Lodestone, which are broken down into the top performing FCs and players both by individual Grand Company and overall.

Personally I don't think that would be a good idea. First and most of all, the crafting/gathering bots and their FCs are going to get most of the titles and rewards proposed.

Second, such competition tends to promote toxicity over nothing other than a ranking that most players don't even understand how the game calculates.

FCs should be about finding like minded players who like to do things together and not about joining the best based on a ranking (which again will be the bot FCs and their bots).
