Best Job for soloing old content?

Title. Was thinking about trying to solo some of the older content in-game; stuff like Binding Coil of Bahamut and some of the Extreme missions and stuff. For that, I've been looking into some jobs that could run unsynced well enough; been running Red Mage and getting started on Paladin, and I'm having a blast so far, but are there any other jobs that you guys suggest for solo unsynced content?

Just looking at the options available.

Gunbreaker has enormous up front burst damage to decimate bosses while also being tanky enough to easily soak any damage bosses can throw at you.

If you don't have Gunbreaker (raises own hand), I find RDM also a great class for soloing old stuff. You get good damage output and sufficiently useful self-healing that way. PLD might be a bit slower, but likely also reliable due to the strong mitigation and numerous self-heals.

With enough levels over the content, any class can work (any class can solo the Coils at 90).

Warrior is the king of soloing due to it's self sustain though, followed by Paladin. Red Mage isn't a bad option either, though it lacks the durability of WAR and PLD.

So i use either BLM or GNB for old content. Some fights go smoother with BLM-level damage, some fights are better with the defense and sustain that the tank brings.

Mch if you want things to die quickly.
Paladin if you don't think mch can survive long enough to finish the job

For older content, WAR is nigh unkillable unless there is still some mechanic that does max damage.

For higher level content I'd go with paladin or warrior due to their high sustain and low damage taken. Red mage might not be bad either if the fight isn't too long, but they lack an invulnerability for deadly tankbusters that'll still 1-shot you at 90.

Definitely WAR for unsynched stuff. Could definitely get some cheese kills with the echo buff and its almost impossible to die. Raw intuition is just too good!

RDM works well on most 50/60 content. DNC can burn through 50 stuff really quick. RPR works well also in 50/60 content. GNB is the only class I was able to solo Thordan EX with.
