i dont know how to get my character to log in

so what happened was i logged out of Zadnor, completely forgot it was a duty while i was doing world visit then i deiced i wanted a name change for my character. so now whenever i try to log in with my character i get "a name change is required to log in with this character. please return to your home world to change your name" and "character was logged out or disconnected mid-duty. unable to process world visit request" so i might have accidentally caused a loop to happen with those 2 messages to show up

Have you tried to right click ur character to see if there is an option to return to your home world/rename your character?

yes, I've right clicked my character and clicked the return to home world button and while the name change window doesnt show up, the unable to process world visit request is still there

It could be an issue with your locally-saved settings. Go to 'My Documents' > 'My Games' > 'Final Fantasy XIV' and delete that folder. If there are any corrupted files that are associated only with that character, this will get rid of them.

well i just deleted the folder and i still get the same issue so it doesnt seem to be corrupted files

i do have a question though would my character get booted back to the home world sever when the upcoming 6.2 patch comes? because if so i can wait ill the patch drops
