It is not legal to multibox in FFXIV, I don't see why bards should have more rights than any other player... people would be pissed if the perfect multibox cleared savage content and the likes.

I think the GM's and SE should strike down on it.

Except this isn't Savage. You know this isn't Savage. Savage is something that you need to work with a team to get right, learn several strategies and it earns you exclusive rewards. It is renowned for being a hard piece of content that draws in the hardcore portion of the fanbase.

Bard botting is just people playing digital instruments for the sake of it. There is no reward other than the thing itself, unless you're being paid by someone else to do it. There are no groups that come online specifically to practice this. It is in no way, shape nor form any sort of content that defines the gameplay of FF14. It's just a feature. A very cute feature. One you'll only really see in city hubs or venues by what's probably either amateurs or people who know how to play an instrument.

If you had said "People are botting the card game or Mahjong", you'd honestly have a lot more of an argument than on this. Because even if most of us do perceive Gold Saucer as being virtually optional and without an impact on anything, you at least have rewards that come out of it. Instead you're asking SE to strike down what's essentially software-coordinated group emoting.
