these people aren't ruining eureka, they're not blowing up the market, they're not inundating a housing lottery; they're giving you music to listen to in an otherwise dead hub. who cares, man.
the thing is, generally speaking, rules are rules, or more and more things become a grey area, and its harder to draw the line.

you have bards "botting", you have people using mods to change appearances of clothing, you have people using add-ons, some people even using helpers in raids, etc, etc. and none of the things I listed interacts with anyone elses gameplay.

I mean would botting the gathering be fine if said person was using gathered resources for their personal use only?

IMHO? Yes. If they are using the material and not selling it, it's more than ok.

Harder to draw the line? Oh no, does that mean people have to use their brain to think about what should be okay and what shouldnt?? Does that mean I cant just have papa SE to tell what to think???

no it means, rules are rules, and they apply to everyone, the only way things stay fair.

on the other hand you have morale relativism, which is subjective.

and yes SE will tell you what to do in their game, and if you dont abide they'll take action, so will any other company.

just because they let some things fly under radar doesnt change that.

I mean some guy was using a mod on stream a month or two ago, and he got banned, meanwhile thousands do the same and they're unharmed, that is why morale relativism is bad when it applies to rules.

You have a curious understanding of fairness. You think it's fair that someone making a cool concert in game with no benefit whatsoever apart from having a fun time should receive the exact same punishment as someone using botted rotations and super telegraphs in DSR. That's not fair at all.

I find it hilarious that you say "just because they let some things fly under radar doesnt change that" when it does exactly that. It changes exactly that. The written rules only provide a framework under which to act, the enforcement chosen by SE has far more impact and is thus far more important for the players. If they say one thing but do another, what do you think matters more?

Also what do you mean with subjective? Do you think the current ToS are some god given revelation? They were created by people, they are enforced by people. It's always subjective.

Well if that is case. They need to really improve on the graphics and character looks. Lost Ark's characters are 10 times more appealing. The UI is so outdated that when I have my settings set to 2k not all of the UI matches it and some things remain big for no reason. Fix decorating homes since right now decorating is ugly (you can't even put something up against the wall unless it sits out a foot from the wall and the wooden loft can't have furniture on it normally) So if people have add ons to fix that then no harm no foul. Until then they need to fix this archaic game and update it severely

Ok so... where is the UI update that adds in things other MMOs do that FFXIV doesn't? (party buff timers, better visible numbers on your bars, removal of mana for classes that don't use it, better HUD customization etc.)

Where is the ability for Hrothgar/Viera to wear hats?

Where are the better housing tools so people don't have to glitch items into places?

Where are the lifted restrictions on glamour so people can where whatever they like?

Where are the extra character customizations? (like more hairs, facial features, body sizing tools expanded eye/hair colors)

Where are more poses? Being able to sit on ledges (like NPCs do) or doze and lay down on benches/couches? More idle poses, perhaps even some race specific?

We're getting a graphic update. Cool. Don't think that it'll be better than what GShade/Reshade does but here's hoping.

If... you're going to ban all that... I think you should provide it first.

I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.
