Garlemald and Elpis. Just hope Garlemald will be restored in the future.
Petition to have the Garlean gunblade & armour added in the game:

I liked the Garlemald section with the music, desperation, and strong hopelessness, including the scene in the train with the gunshot... I thought of that was coming together really really well. Really hope there is an Ishgard reconstruction for that space though, bet it'd look cool. I liked the general going forward in despair outlook of the expansion in general, has been many many many years for me but perhaps a long time ago I would have lined up with some moments here where the nihilism might have been my own (classic teen dark years lol).
Scenes I loved though, LOVED, was the creepy movements of the girl, with the music and voice. Was super psyched about that. There were a few moments that got a bit cliché / campy anime near the end, but I'd say majority of her creepily appearing behind me and stuff I was like "yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" lol.
Probably a few things I might go hmm on like the first loss in the last zone, I actually took a second to realize it because everyone was so casual from what I thought they should be acting like- basically I responded with "lol, no way that was permeant" given the response my team had... Takeaway though is I quite liked much of the story, may have a comment on cadence or a scene, but not sure I would say anything anyways since it's not like a feature you can reuse. Story is more unique and so it wouldn't do to say too much, my imo (others can say whatever, that's their thing). If I have something I want to see in the future of story then I feel it's more worth mentioning.
Having played GW2 recently, WoW in the past, I still feel FFXIV is unique in being an MMO that gives sRPG like story vibes.. having a lot of fun with some of GW2s systems and hoping SE might revisit and inspire from some of them.. but I cant recall any story I've done so far because I just don't really connect to it. Similar to WoW. So good job to FFXIV for continuing that legacy.
Music was naturally great, loved the zones- I appreciate some of the zones particularly because I had desires to see certain types of zones and honestly there they were (like a Zeal space).. so I was super excited beyond "this is pretty" in a few places. At times I was like "I wanted to see this and I am seeing this, hot thal's halls this is awesome". Dungeons of course were pretty too. I was a little sad the Thav city didn't look as close to the concept art because the concept art looked like Lindblum from FFIX and that was epic.. but perhaps it was a bit too much at the time. Is still a pretty city though, I like the rich colors in the Aetheryte section particularly.
Loved the moon and loloprits, though I was a little sad I didn't get moon gravity.. lol. Still loved the moon, as said zones were pretty great.
Great time worth the value, so I give it a kupo nut out of gyshal green and would recommend FFXIV still. I like these positive feedback threads, I like feedback in general (clearly my own posts reveal, and I believe in their value / potential), but it's easy to be critical so it's nice these exist too. Might come back, just thought to make a few statements.

Garlemald music so soothing. I had it in my house too.
Hopefully SE let us re-build the ruins. That would be awesome.

All around a fantastic expansion. People really don't grasp how lucky we are to have what we do.
