SE never really said how the 2.0 beta was going to work. If it was going to be tested alongside still having 1.0 out, if that was the case then I would expect a wipe. Or if the 1.0 chars will be transferred to the 2.0 beta and we would be playing our old chars then probably wouldn't have a wipe.
