How did you choose your company?

Promise last post but I must know how did y’all choose your grand company for the first time? The reason I ask is I first picked maelstrom do to my character being a roe female who pick dragoon but I felt I should have picked twin adder do to forest was my first place. I’m kind of regretting my decision.

Always loved peacefull places, river, forest and wooden building aesthetic plus i started in gridania so there is that too

For a long time I picked based on which gear I wanted to sport. Limsa has those spiffy hooker boots with the red trim, Ul'Dah has the boob top, and Gridania has a more earthy style to their allied healer gear.

Most recently I switched to the Flames as a house design that I was building used an obscene amount of Flame armoires and I wanted to be able to farm some up them up myself.

Now I'm just waiting for my 15 days to end so I can switch back to Gridania as I enjoy the vibe there the most.

As a Scandinavian the longboat Maelstrom has on their flag was a sure win.
Also it has the best colours of all 3 imo.

I love pirates and instantly fell in love with the maelstrom even though I choose dragoon. I felt guilty that I did not choose adders because I started at forest first.

I honestly would have gone with team trees for the same reason if not for the fact that I really can't stand their leader. So pirates.

My choice is maybe one of the most boring options: It's the city I started in. This has applied for every character I have created.
