No way to unlink PSN?

Hi, everyone. First time posting this here.

I'm a loooong time FFXIV player. Over 7k hours playtime, done all savage content, ultimates, crafting/gathering, RPing, everything. I absolutely love this game to the moon and back (as per Endwalker, literally!).

It still baffles me to this day that we cannot unlink/unattach a PSN Account from our SE Account. I unfortunately made the mistake of buying the game on a PSN account that I no longer have access to (at all). As I usually play on PC, that's not a huge problem. But I've recently got a PS5 and thought "huh... why don't I play a lil bit on there?"...

Except I can't. Since I've made the poor decision to link my SE account to a non-accessible PSN account, I no longer am able to play on my main account on PSN. Yes, I've tried reaching out to the support center, to no success, since it's not a trial, and a full-on product on my PSN account...

This is my first day on a mission to make SE try to think about systems that they can get in place to people to be able to unlink PSN accounts from their SE accounts, thus being able to buy a new license key and finally play on their desired accounts... Which is a feature that many games have (including free to play games).

I honestly wouldn't mind rebuying licenses on PS just so I can play it there, but I literally cannot do that since I've already linked my SE account to a PSN account.

Also a reminder to everyone to be REALLY careful and make sure you are on your correct PSN account when getting the game on other platforms.

It's PSN support you need, to remove your account from the PSN account...

i believe it is possible to unlink it, but you need to really push for it. like the poster above me said, you need to contact PSN support but they’ll prob fight you. good luck!
