How did you choose your company?

Hi yall,
Promise last post but I must know how did y’all choose your grand company for the first time? The reason I ask is I first picked maelstrom do to my character being a roe female who pick dragoon but I felt I should have picked twin adder do to forest was my first place. I’m kind of regretting my decision.

I went with Twin Adders on my main because so many of the classes I play on him are based in Gridania: LNC, BRD, LTW, BTN, and to a lesser extent WHM. Plus, I prefer forests over all other ecosystems so it was all a natural fit for me.

The alt went with Maelstrom because she's a Sea Wolf Maurader/Warrior.

I love pirates and instantly fell in love with the maelstrom even though I choose dragoon. I felt guilty that I did not choose adders because I started at forest first.

Don't forget that pikes are a BIG DEAL in ship-to-ship boarding actions. It's only natural that the Maelstrom would employ many, many pikemen on their ships even if the Big Axe Swingy People are more visible.

You can't. You do keep the glam piece with you.

Dragoon here and maelstrom for life. How could you not. Really its gonna be a personal preference on what faction pulls you.

I chose my name cause I'm a fan of Vagrant Story and "Riskbreaker" is a cool name.

Also I made the company. Also I will never recruit for it cause I don't want the responsibility of being an FC/Guild leader ever again.

edit: Oh...Grand Company. I switch often but I picked Uldah cause the officer outfit looks the best.

Well it wasn't the hardest decision for me to join Maelstrom:
--> best climate in Limsa with beaches and a fresh seabreeze
--> started as Arcanist in 2.0 beta3
--> color red is just the best
--> freedom as it's main theme
--> continued to get the best maelstorm themed outfits
--> lots of roes which are awesome
--> all jobs it features are among my favs (especially the rogues guild added later)
--> had the more interesting beast tribes as foes
--> costa de sol is amazing - all the beaches around the area
--> and they usually are the strongest in pvp
