Sanction NPCs on every camp, and a conquest system like on FFXI that determines who gets it?

I can dig on this but I'm not sold on the conquest idea. Having sanction NPC's at camps would make some of the GC weapons more useful, tho - which is a good thing because it can help to offset the need for newer players to tackle either moogle or Ifrit before doing Garuda.
I agree. I didnt play XI for too long but i started playing around the time of the latest expansion and the raise in the level cap to 99. i have to say the conquest system was pretty amazing.

1. Die
2. Death Return to inn at grand company city
3. Reset sanction
4. Return again to place of interest.
Hardly an inconvience. It takes no more than a couple minutes to reset sanction. Bring a 2nd weapon in case you die inside an instance or are unable to return. Why we need another way of setting sanction beyond me.

this has nothing to do with what this thread is about. read what's been written or don't post at all please kthx. I'm asking for sanction in camps, or a conquest system similar to XI's. I don't care if they throw sanction on every company or if they throw me an item that gives me sanction in exchange for seals for that I don't want to be enslaved to caravan runs.
You obviously don't use a sanction weapon.1. Die
2. Death Return to inn at grand company city
3. Reset sanction
4. Return again to place of interest.

You can easily get timed out on a mission/fight/event after dying inside and losing sanction or just wear it off due to the timer.
This would require you to either
Run away from the event and find mobs, change jobs, suicide, delaying your party
or
Use return twice and lose 30 minutes.
What you're proposing is a way to deal with a broken system. This isn't acceptable.
I actually main use a GC weapon, two in fact, and its easy to see the hindrance of being unable to get it casted anywhere but inside town. Not to mention what a hassle it is and how easily it is to forget it being casted.
Do you never read dev quotes?
Hey gang,
I'd like to give some background on the current spec of "losing sanction upon death." The bonus added with sanction was designed to be very potent. In order to balance this, the concept of sanction is to limit the effect duration to three hours and to take a risk that it will be removed if you’re defeated. With that said, we do not currently have any plans to make adjustments so that the effects of sanction remain active when you die.
However, we are currently looking into making it so sanction can be received in places other than your respective Grand Company when certain conditions are met, or implementing an item that will give you sanction via exchange of Grand Company seals.
Please keep the feedback coming! There has been a bit of progress on the aforementioned sanction adjustments that I would like to update you all on.
Currently it is only possible to receive sanction from the Grand Company counter you are a part of, but in patch 1.22b we will be making it possible to receive the effects of sanction from the other Grand Company counters that you do not belong to after completing a special quest.
We are still continuing to look into items that will imbue you with the effects of sanction and will be sure to let you know of any updates on that front as well.

Could we get better thread titles?
