While it is probably something that I’ll rarely touch if it ever gets implemented, I wonder what if they merge the roulette into a weekly Unreal roulette… everything will be synced to lv90 obviously.

"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."
So what’s wrong using PF?I think the biggest take here is:
"I DONT WANT TO DO HARD CONTENT SO NOBODY ELSE SHOULD"
Extreme Roulette is good for people who WANT to do that content. Nothing saying you can just pass over it and ignore it.
I personally hate Alliance roulette and MSQ Roulette, but they shouldn't remove it because i don't want to take part in it.
Not all content is tailored to you personally, If you don't want to take part in it, Don't.

I'll do it every day in exchange for 500 bicolor gemstones. If the reward is right it's no problem whatsoever. Already did them for Astrope.
There are also plenty of people who think 1) mentors should help newbies for free and 2) the whole mentor status should be deleted because non mentors are more helpful. I assume those people aren't hypocrites, so they would be the first to do this roulette no matter what the reward is.

Think it would be easier for them to just slap a new nifty reward to old EXs, how about another set of primal gear or a glowy version?
They eventually get around to making glowy sets of trial weapons. We got Susano in 6.1, wrapping up Stormblood. We should start to see some ShB sets.
btw, if you really want to do an extreme roulette, you can queue 5 of them on duty finder.
Another potential problem with this idea is it becomes like Alliance roulette, where people purposely undergear to get the ARR trials. Again, you're not going to find many that will honestly remember all of the ~30 trials.

No one is required to do any roulette or EX trials (short of getting the HW EX done for the ShB meta role quest) so I don't see a problem with adding one. Those who don't want to do it won't need to. Those who enjoy doing the EXs with random groups can.
SE can always remove the roulette if it's shown there's no real interest in it after a couple of patches.

Take a moment, look at the high end tab right now in party finder.
All those groups are people grinding away, learning to do one of the current EX fights.
It'll take them weeks to learn it well.
... and then most of them will forget it once they've not done it after a while.
You want a roulette that would require weeks of effort to learn every ex that ever was.. so, say a year of hard work to get every fight down, and not forget any of them, because you might end up in any of them.
Not only that, but you want 5 or 6 people with that level of skill to be qued up at the same time?
Look, I'm all for letting mentor roulette be accessible to more people, but inflicting that on the general population seems unkind at best.
If the rewards are somehow high enough to make grinding for a year to learn everything, and being the kind of god player who can actually remember it all, then greedy random people will drop themselves into the que, with no skill, but a LOT of hunger, and you'll actually drive the net knowledge of people qued for an ex DOWN.
Extreme fights only take 1-3 hours to learn and clear, even for pretty casual folks. They're not really meant to be super difficult..

That's how I see it. And the systems are already in place anyway. I did not like the old MSQ roulette. But instead of mounting about it I just never did it.No one is required to do any roulette or EX trials (short of getting the HW EX done for the ShB meta role quest) so I don't see a problem with adding one. Idk why people hype up EU so much. I spent a few months over there, and got wiped almost daily in Expert Roulette by people from Moogle.
