Maggie in Praetorium

I wonder why in the new redesign of Praetorium they removed Maggie's name from the dialogue? We go through a lot in the MSQ to get her functioning and in the old Praetorium Maggie's name was included in the dialogue to remind folks. The devs even decided in the new Praetorium to include a cut-scene of our character paying respects before leaving Maggie, but yet they removed her name from the dialogue lol. Maybe they will bring it back in the future

They trimmed a bit from the "maggy experience" in there, I don't think new people will have it hit the same way it did for the old timers. *shrug* just how these things go. I wasn't there at the end of 1.0 and yet I can dig the full emptyness in a youtube vid. Others will maybe go looking for her story someday.

They removed the entire cutscene to reduce time spent in the instance. It wasn't an extremely important 2 minutes of our lives during each run.

Yeah it really bothered me. It was a really sweet thing and it made the whole magiteck part feel special. Now you're just grabbing some random magitech and shooting stuff with it, so sad. Meanwhile they kept the cinematic where you hit the cemet thing which is...pretty useless.

It's still Maggie, there's just less drama placed on it.

And then she STILL saved you.

Course, hits a bit less, because she's not happy to see you, with flashing lights and sound effects that are meant to sound happy and excighted.

But, it will still be there, on youtube, and so people will learn about it from there, I guess.

This. Tbh though, I really felt the entire Maggie thing could have been removed from the MSQ and nothing of value would have been lost. I mean it is never brought up again after Prae, and just feels like it's there to be there.

i mean all the build up for maggie before is still there i assume
like the instance in mor dona they just skimmed on the extra stuff in prae

Yeah, it was cut because it's on the list of things that you can cut from the Praetorium without losing anything important to the story.

I don't know how long the Praetorium is now, but before the truncation it was about 50 minutes, and famously MOST of it was cutscene. Very few other cutscenes could've been cut.
