Model error on item: Death Scythe

Date & Time: Not sure when it began, but it's Everyday now
    Frequency: Always
    World name: Any
    Class/Level: Reaper/Any level
    In-game time: Always
    Area and coordinates: All
    Steps:
    1. Equip Item: Death Scythe or Glamour weapon into: Death Scythe

When having the Death Scythe equipped, either by the item itself or by glamour, the weapon model when sheathed has changed from its original state.
The holster position on the back seems to have moved up a bit.
The blade when sheathed is now misaligned and tilting more at the joint where the blade folds out/in, exposing parts that's supposed to stay hidden within the weapons model, in the shape of pitch black marks running across to both sides.

Obs: When wielding the Death Scythe in "active mode" everything seems fine.
It seems like it's only when it's sheathed where the issue appear.

Firstly, it would be more helpful to SE if you use actual FFXIV terminology instead of WoW terms ('transmog' is not a term used here in FFXIV, so the development team would not know what you're talking about - it's called 'glamour'). And as there are two systems for glamour in use (individual 'glamour prisms', and the 'glamour dresser/glamour plates'), it may actually be helpful to specifically state which of these glamour systems you used to glamour the item, as they may have different processes at work that might be causing the problem.

Additionally, it would be also more helpful to list a full bug report including your system specifications (SE states how to do this in the sticky thread in this forum), specifically your graphic hardware, as believe it or not certain types of video cards or drivers can actually cause issues or things to display slightly differently that do not appear on other peoples' systems, so SE needs this information to determine the actual cause and how to fix it, just saying "it's broken and here are some images showing it" isn't actually as helpful as it seems, SE needs the technical information behind the scenes to correctly solve it.

There is no difference in end result between the two glamour systems. Your gear ends up with a label saying "glamoured as X" and the system displays X if you're currently able to equip it. The only difference is how the label gets applied to the gear.

That said, describing the problem with the steps "1. Equip Death Scythe. 2. Glamour equipped item as Death Scythe" implies that the glitch only occurs when you glamour the item as itself, not that (as I assume is actually the case) it happens in either of two disconnected situations.

    Ah, right.
I keep mixing those two up, Transmog and Glamour.

And about the specs, I can't say for others, as more have pointed out they experience the same thing, but personally I got the same back then as now.
And sadly I am embarrassingly bad when it comes to more technical know-how so don't really know how to look up all of those system specs the template example lists. -_-
Or I do but simply just won't connect in my head how atm.
So to just even get it done I looked at other posts and not everyone that has been "accepted" (one way or another) even follow the template.
So I basically just did what I could with how I know.

I understand you're trying to help out and I appreciate it.
It's just that I'm just bad at this. -_-'

I listed the steps as different ways on how to "use" the item.
Not as in "do this and then do this, is that order".
Maybe I should rephrase it somehow?

English isn't my mother language and my wordings might just not come out as good as it sounds in my head.

Oh it's fine! I'm really sorry if I seemed abrupt or harsh. I think most players have had technical glitches at one time or another so we all know how frustating it can be.

In regards to the technical specs of your system, it's more if you are playing on the PC (Windows) version, as the PS4/PS5 version is fairly standard hardware wise and doesn't have the huge and nearly limitless selection of hardware and software differences systems the PC version can have. So if you are playing the PS4 or PS5 version, merely stating that and the specific model number and OS version for your console may be enough (this can be found in the PS4 or PS5's settings).

If you are playing the PC version, there is a way to quickly get your system specifications for FFXIV - the game itself has this as a function. Click the Windows Start button and scroll down the program list to 'S', and there should be a 'SQUARE ENIX' folder listed. In this folder below FFXIV itself there should be an option labelled 'FINAL FANTASY XIV SYSTEM INFORMATION'. Click that and it will bring up a window that lists your entire computer, including it's hardware, the FFXIV installation path in Windows, your current system processes, and more. At the bottom of this window, there should be a 'Copy to Clipboard' button. Press that, and then click 'OK' to close it. Then, click "Edit Post' in your initial post, and then right hand click with your mouse and select "Paste'. It should then past in the information from the System Information window you just copied. Then save the edited post.

Hopefully this hasn't been too confusing, if it is or there is something you don't understand, please let me know and I'll try to help!

"Steps" always means things to be done in a sequence. It can't be used to mean two different ways of doing something.

    Your edited version is fine.

Yeah, I should've been able to figure that out.
But I did this at 4am so guess my head found it hard to connect obvious dots meanwhile trying to figure out how to make a good informing post.
