Extreme ping issues? Packet loss?

Basically unable to play the game due to extreme lag. My sending is usually around 0 to 27 though sometimes jumps to 400ish. My receiving is usually around 4k in cities and such. It's been going on for two days. Other online games are working fine with very little lag as far as I can tell which leads me to believe it's FFXIV.

I did the powershell thing from the article posted some time ago, I don't know if this actually will help. Pinging Google, likewise, was 20/20 and had 0% packetloss. According to my techie friends.

Sending/Receiving doesn't have anything to do with lag. If you're in a big city receiving 4k that is pretty normal.

NTT is most likely the culprit. it's why you don't see it in other games most likely.

Posting to let you know you're not alone. Judging from your tracert you seem to live in PA as I do and I'm getting horrible latency starting around 8 pm to 11 pm EST.

Everytime I do a tracert I can almost never get anything from a San Jose node. Specifically, ae-2.r24.snjsca04.us.bb.gin.ntt.net [129.250.6.237]

Here's mine for reference, I edited the few beginning steps but they were all perfect. Also like you the very last hop before the FFXIV server always times out as well I'm not even sure what that one is.
