"Working as intended"?

if anything, its not a game breaking glitch.

so they toss it in to the pile of "things to be fixed if everything else is taken care of". software development is full of those things. they get worked on as there is time, or people to do it. not as much that they dont care, they just have bigger things that need caring about than a minor graphics glitch. dont take it personally.

Is what gets put in the "Working as Intended" thread.
There is a "Confirmed/Planning to Address" where it could've been put in, as it doesn't specify when it might get adressed. Perhaps even that it's confirmed at all.

And sure, it's not gamebreaking, but it's a weapon (well, transmog/skin) that was included in the Collector Edition, which means a bunch of irl money involved, so having something like that "break" and say it's a feature and working as intended, feels a little "oof" imo.

I am getting honestly tired of the excuses devs make, and I dont mean just for ff14. Like how is this working as intended? Sure, it isnt gamebreaking but come on.... they dont even have the balls to say that this is too small of an issue for them to be bothered with and that they need their resources spend elsewhere (hah!).

the devs have better things to do with their time than monitor english forums. and the tech support moderators are going to be severely limited in what they pass to the customer. has nothing to do with "balls" it has to do with liability and procedure.

Well, if he didn't do a great job of explaining the problem and using the format they ask for, then nothing will happen.

I dunno how they decide where a post will go.
But if it wasn't enough explanation so they didn't know what it was about, there's a "Insufficient Information" thread I'm sure they could've put it in instead.

It's not the devs. It's the community team who moved the thread.

When you are dealing with people who "have different skills" to normal support staff, you need to make the ticket incredibly simple so they understand.

A drop in quality is expected nowadays. Not surprised to see this as "working as intended".

I did, mentioned that in the original post.
But they then put it in the "Working as Intended" sub-bug thread.
As in, according to that thread it's a "Bug reports that are actually features that are working as intended"

You didn't provide the standard template. When I try it on, I don't see the problem, so maybe it's a lighting issue.

As a result of investigating and testing, reports determined to be bugs will be moved to the Confirmed/Planning to Address forum and those determined to be a normal feature of the game will be moved to the Working as Intended forum.
