And unless they're only buying them from the quartermaster you'd run out of the ones made in the workshop and then needing to be primed. If not the mats needed for making those. This sounds more like a those few in my FC that are allowed to put up buffs aren't able to get on daily or the same time of day problem. Which means either they need to give more people access to the buffs or have someone who can but normally doesn't put them up. Or they have really lazy people. I know I know shouldn't shoot down more options.
It was just a silly play on words. Free....company buffs vs. free company....buffs.
The FC I was in that had active buffs had a drift problem. We had the appropriate ranks and enough people online to activate them but usually when they expired it took a bit of time for anybody to realize they were off. Bad enough if you run the same buffs all the time but we had a day for crafting xp and another for gathering xp and they'd get all out of whack.This. Sounds more like an issue with the structure of the FC. I mean unless you're a newer FC, you should have a diverse set of ranks ready to make sure these things don't happen. Cause really, what are the chances that a FC with diverse ranks is going to have all of them unavailable at once?
A queuing system would have let us schedule them while another is running. Heck even if the time slots were hard coded to reset that would have been a significant QoL improvement. Frankly it would saved us from a bit of drama despite the best of intentions.
Anyone in my FC can execute buffs. We have more credits than we will ever use, so this makes more sense. I replenish them every 2 or 3 days to insure they are available. There is no fixed daily rotation on battle, gathering, or the crafting buffs. The majority of active members on determines what buff is most needed for the day. If someone would like one of the gathering or crafting type buffs they only need to ask in fc chat if anyone would mind. Usually my members don't mind if someone needs a different buff for an hour or two. When that person is finished they simply disable it and enable the regular buff again.
On days of raiding or reset day we work it the same way. Putting up Meat & Mead II, or Proper Care II for raiding, then when not in use it can be disabled and the normal buffs are put back.
Purchasing these buffs a bit different , but we've worked that out with veteran members rank are able to buy from the Quartermaster along with officers and leader.
Smaller FC's or new FCs might struggle to keep buffs active like this and a queue system might be helpful in these cases. It's been awhile since SE has done any improvements to FC management. It would be nice to have a QoL like this.
