Kupo!
I haven't done it yet.
I'm waiting for a sale to buy the motorcycle.
I remember getting the VII bike as a present but it totally feels like a pay for power sort of situation when I was zooming around the EW areas faster than most people, lol. The music it plays is pretty sweet though, I wish more mounts got unique bgms tied to it.
I bought two when they were on sale and didn't have any sort of exuberant high or what have you. I thought they were cool and the discount was enough for me to find them a good value for what they are.I really wanted to know because personally I would never do that what is the point of paying real money to get a mount you are really proud of once you get it? even if the mount is only available at the mog station I would never pay for it because a mount should be obtained by doing a quest or something
I would much prefer all mounts be obtainable through in-game activities, but $15 here and there isn't going to break my bank. Since I use them all the time I already feel I've gotten my money's worth and won't feel ripped off if something I like better comes along. Ironically, I'd probably feel worse/ripped off if a mount I busted my ass to get *cough* GARO *cough* was made available during a Moggle event like we're seeing now.
For an actual, real example, I have items that were rewards for seasonal events very early on. Until they went up on the Mogstation they were cool to have since people who saw them knew I'd been around at that time. Now that they can be bought with real money they no longer have that effect, and most people probably think I bought them. You know what, it doesn't matter one whit because they're just meaningless glamours that are only useful in certain contexts.
Splash's on sale? Hot damn, time to go buy that too!

What people do with their money and how they spend it is none of your business.
That aside, if you think people heavily attach their own self-worth and ego to how many mounts or minions they have, then I would argue that you're the one with the low self-esteem. Get over yourself.
I usually wait on sales but most of the mounts I bought from the mog station are multi seater and helps when I wanna take people or new players around.
All this talk of a sale....I rushed over to see if my precious fantasias were included so I could restock! But alas, they are not. womp womp.
