Give us Instanced Housing, SE!

You might want to refine that topic a bit. Technically we already have instanced housing. They are called apartments. It might be a good idea for you to define why apartments are not sufficient (I would agree on that, current apartments are not sufficient) and present some ideas on what you are specifically looking for and how the changes could be achieved. My own list includes tenants and larger places, both of which could be achieved with an upgraded apartment system. What are your wants?

Those "wants" have already been voiced 1000x now when it comes to apartments and housing in general. For what..8ish years now?, if they cant understand what players want when it comes to housing by now, then its a lost cause .

Either they are not capable of understanding the specific requests for YEARS... or they simply don't care....

8 years ago there where plenty of free plots and no housing demolition, no lottery, no plaquard spamming and i certainly dont remember any housing complaints. So i would say those 8 years are hyperboly.

Guys we have the housing solution right here. Just invent time travel, go back in time, and get a house back when the player counts were lower. Its so simple.

There's not even a problem, its totally not an ancient system that wasn't designed to scale with an increased user base.

What a relatively small percentage of the subscriber base say they want on these forums is not necessarily representative of what most players want. I'm pretty sure SE understands that, but do you?

And as I said before, MMORPGs are not bespoke: Yoshi-P and his team will create what they want to create, and each consumer then decides whether to buy it. Accordingly, "Yoshi-P doesn't want it" is all the justification that's needed for not including something in FFXIV (no matter what any vocal minority wants or says they want) especially since that's the strategy that's made FFXIV a success.

Housing was never intended for personal use. They designed it the way it is because it was meant to be for FC's. Opening it up to individual/private ownership was honestly a mistake.

An FC without a house is like being in the rain without an umbrella. All you need is 3 million gil and you cannot make that? No, this lack of financial aptitude shouldn't be rewarded. losers who cannot learn MB supply and demand don't get free access to ships and subs.

3 million and plot availability, the latter which is not always available. And as others mentioned, the workshop isn't free. You really have no basis to stand on besides greed. If FC buffs were locked behind housing, you'd probably gatekeep that too.

That said, there are still FC plots available on a lot of servers since the addition of the new housing ward and plenty of them still have 0 bids on it (on my server).
