2.0 is really for new players more then for those of us that have been playing for the last 2 years.
yes there will be a good bit of changes. Content wise we won't see to much that will keep us busy.
for the people that have maxed out all classes I see them getting boared again in a few months.
New player will have a much better experiance.

That's why I'm glad they decided to do the legacy campaign. It means I can make all the new characters I want and experience 2.0 from the beginning without losing everything I already did, or having to pay more money.

It's good news for new players too because it means people can reroll and play with them even though our mains already have everything at max level. Solves the problem of level disparity between new and old players. I can't wait to reroll in 2.0 honestly

Legacy campaign is brilliant for most people, current players can experiance the full 2.0 from scratch, and they will be able to play with friends from the start without paying any more, which is what I am most looking forward to can't wait for it, I was over the moon when I heard about legacy for the one reason I will be able to play with friends waiting on the ps3 release.

Yeh its great for us, but it will bring a chaos of problems later on when new people + media get their hands on it and start bitching that they have to pay more because they joined late or didnt want to play a half broken game. I think it will cause another bad image against SE, but we will have to see.

As for 2.0 promosing, i think a lot of people expect more than what is said.

It rewards loyalty, which alot of games do think verteran rewards "I didn't play at release and I have to wait 1 year for this item..." I don't think it will matter too much, I bet the real rage will come if we still have 120 members in a linkshell max, I don't wanna miss talking to my ls just because I'm playing a new character with my friends.

I doubt it, once 2.0 launches the full developement team (250+ strong) will be working on 2.0 content alone, so they should be able to push out some sizeable content quickly

You enforce my own statement. It not like we are gonna get content just flowing out like we are not.
the majority of use have been around since XI. more then likly after 2.0 we won't see any real extra content
till an exspantion pack is released. SE still needs to make money on this game and Putting 250+ strong on
a project need to bring addional funds

Not to sound like an ass, but where are we getting this 250 number from? Just curious.

    read here:

Conclusion of the Unbilled Period and Commencement of Subscription Billing

The unbilled period has remained in place for the past year as our development and operation teams of over 250 staff have worked to bring you FINAL FANTASY XIV. I apologize for the belated nature of my next announcement, but as significant updates to the game have been released over the last ten months, a portion of the team has also been simultaneously devoted to working solely on the new FINAL FANTASY XIV. This is an essential part of the process of realizing the ideal we have envisioned. Planning for the new FINAL FANTASY XIV began in January of this year, and April saw the start of large-scale tasks. Since then, however, we have made no compromises in the game’s operation and updates. I believe this is evident if you review the contents of the updates that have been released thus far.
