I'm going to say this plainly.
A lot of people are going to be disapointed with 2.0. Period.
Why? Inflated expectations.
What Yoshi P and the crew are doing is monumental, but most of it is backroom reworking. Those who are wise and took the time to read the outline and not expect much more than that, will be happy when the patch comes.
Those who think 2.0 will be FFXIV's saving grace and will turn water in to wine? As well as those think that SE 'better' deliver or else they'll crash and burn? They'll be the ones complaining the loudest on these and other boards on how 2.0 "failed' and how they'll never trust SE again.
This divide among the player base WILL happen, because people are hyping themselves (either positively and will be let down, or negatively and will spot every flaw and absence) - which is the exact opposite to do in these circumstances.
If anyone out there can listen to outside advice, listen to this: Stay neutral. Look at the outline and expect that. Take what comes with a grain of salt and look at what you like before you harp about what you dislike. Make your judgements on what you enjoy in the game, as a whole, before you decide to give a positive or negative outlook. And no matter what you decide, be open minded. Not everyone is going to agree with you, and that's just fine.
