Thread: 2.0 is promising too much!!

New engine, new UI, and new maps is all I'm expecting anything beyond that would be nice.

Besides at first I was excited.. then they made us pay to play... meh went down of excitement, then some spam able update came out... I was a little worried, my excitement went down, they came out with more spam able grinding update, my excitement went down even further. Not only it is spam able... It's accessible to everyone anytime every time. So there's really no sense of achievement... not like the FAKEBOOK achievement makes this game any funner... I asked for achievement they gave me Facebook achievement content WT BOMB se.. I don't want some none sense achievement... not only that it's GRINDING achievement wt Bomb again...

At that point i was like ok... this game's going down hill... so they came out with Garuda!! damn excited until I realized this is the same pattern. not that i haven't realized that after Ifrit. Then hamlet came out... not interested at all about it; then they mentioned AF coming out of that... made me feel worst about the promises.

But really hamlet is now a three city spamming fest.... omg really se?? you could not have made us do a quest where we had to go find a rare Notorious Monster or fight a notorious monster that is rare spawn!!??

se you've become WOW -1.0 like literally I though wow failed big time IN mmo history-

I agree they successfully bread a new World of MMO
(they reformed the description of an mmo) I give them credit for that
by removing grinding and adventuring ---- By adding quest grinding and none adventuring (speed to max and dungeon spam)
It is totally OK, not a bad game for players who only cares about pvp and fighting dungeon boss.
I will say i'am not a fan of that.
I love pvp I love dungeons- I also love ranking up and adventuring- I do disagree with Single party dungeons.
I will repeat again and again. I don't play mmo to make the WORLD a CHAT room- and the Dungeons the actual game itself.
As of now ----- the whole reason to play this game is to rank up to 50 and spam spam spam all the primal fight and do dungeon.... Hence the world is a BIG chatroom.... no exploration what so ever-- no reason too since you just wana be 50 to hmmm spam every fights until you pull your brain out of this game and stop playing for couple days hoping things would change on the next update....

not only that it's easy mode battles with easy and lazy mode Safe spots...

I DO HOPE that the promises isn't anything similar to what we have now.
Even if they gave us 1000 Bosses at 2.0?? the same way these bosses are ran... I would SOOO quit at 2.0

What do you expect them to come out with for now they can't offer high drop rates or all content will be finished in 2 weeks and everyone would be bored till the next patch, they have most of their devs working on 2.0 so its lives up to the expectations, 1.xx must suffer because of that and this is what we end up with, come 2.0 all their staff will work on it so we will get better content faster.

Just in case you're not clear, they're not promising everything to happen all at once the instant 2.0 comes out. Everything is "after 2.0" not "AT 2.0." Not absolutely every little thing that they said will be coming in 2.0 will immediately be available at its launch. Nobody should be expecting that, because that's not what they have been saying.

For instance, are we going to have PvP @1? I doubt it, it will probably be introduced later.

What you SHOULD be expecting at launch is the redesigned areas, new UI, and many of the more technical fixes.

There is obviously going to be new content. But it's not all going to come out simultaneously. It would be a bad idea even.

there -will- be a level cap increase. When is uncertain, but we knew since the beginning of the game that it wasn't going to stay at 50 forever.

Can we implement the goodies Tanaka wanted us to have in 2.0 please?

Actually, XIV didn't go into actual production till around 2007,

Production of the content and software itself, yes, but it had been in the design and concept stage for well before that.
