Undergeared?

Hmmm.. I'm lvl15 now on my PGL and lvl10 on my LNC, going for either MNK or DRG. But my question is, my gears are just all the starter ones I got right when I got into the game, should I buy gear stuff that are in par w/ my lvl? Just wanna get some advice from veterans, and I ask this mainly because the gears are just too expensive, especially the weapons, so is it good to invest items once i can equip them so I can grind and do some battlecraft leves?

So defence isn't that much of a problem right? good wep = faster kill.

I'd suggest finding someone else your level and taking a trip to shposhae. It's a dungeon outside Limsa which has drops of gear for lvl 15 characters.

Link is to a guide to the dungeon. Try shouting in uldah for someone to make you a weapon.

Yeah Shposhae is a great lowbie dungeon and you can get some good gear--not just the rare Plundered gear but while you're farming the chests you'll also get a bunch of level 15-20 normal gear and weapons like cesti, boots, gloves, etc. Plus it's really fun. ^^

Also with regards to low level stuff being expensive, there are NPCs in the market wards now that have lower-priced lowbie gear, you may want to check them out if you can't get some people together for Shposhae anytime soon.

don't even buy anything you can be rank 50 with crap gear and weapons- once you get 50 you can purchase stuff-

"OMG, this is the GREATEST low level dungeon I've ever seen in my entire life! I've been there once", twice... multiple times...
I got al sorts of "Plundered gear" and loot to sell. Good for different classes and gilz!

I recommend going there in lv.10~15 exp pty and soloing it at lv.16-20 for keys. Good thing SE has this i close to reach areas.

I'm mainly lvling my LNC to 15 now so I can proceed w/ my PGL, which is lvl15 atm, and I may end up buying the lvl16 PGL wep so I can solo that Shposhae dungeon. Thanks for all the info guys, I was worried that later on w/ crappy junk gear I have I won't be able to lvl.

The game has change so much since I left 2 weeks after the launch of the game. I will definitely stick around, and I am already in the Legacy so I'm so pumped for 2.0!

EDIT: Btw, where is this Shposhae dungeon? and the next dungeon I suppose is the Nanawa Mines right?

Shposhae is just south of Camp Bearded Rock, outside of Limsa Lominsa at (28,33).

It is rather unique, as it is the only dungeon that's just there with a bunch of lowbie NMs and chests you hunt keys for until you get up to the beastman strongholds. Cassiopeia Hollow, Mun Tuy Cellars, and Nanawa Mines would be the three explorable "dungeon" zones in the 20s-30s range

It's just outside Limsa, head north east a bit. It isn't far from town.
