Game crashing on start up, Game stops responding when Controller unplugs

I am on PC and I've been having so many issues lately and out of nowhere and it's starting to become mildly frustrating. My game has been doing this odd thing where if I touch it at all before it goes to the main menu, it just freezes, goes white and I get notices of it when it stops responding. Sometimes I have to either just pray, wait a really long time before logging in and even when my controller unplugs, I get the same result. It hasn't done it before and it can be really inconvenient. I am not sure if it has anything to do with controller calibration, ingame settings, windows settings, updates or if it's anything steam related (which is another whole can of worms in itself) and now sometimes, it doesn't even read my controller when I plug it in. I don't know what's going on or how to fix it. Please help.

Okay quick update, reinstalling my game (again lol) fixed the controller and it starts up instantly again at least. So I guess it's fine for now. Sorry and thank you
