    Solution #1

Let us switch our classes in the holding area, just like the frontline. There's no reason not to do this. It would allow teams to compensate if they get, say, 3 tanks and 2 healers without requiring a new code. I mean, since you have the same code in frontline already. It would also promote the health of CC, letting me go in on a tank, get XP for a tank, but play a decent class(looking at you, GNB :sadface

There's no reason to do this because if, for some obscene reason, a meta like 5 WAR or 5 WHM arose, then even if everyone started playing skill would take the fore instead of RNG BS.

Agree? Disagree? Prove it with math!

    TL;DR:

Only works if you don't actually see the jobs of the enemy until the job lock is in place, otherwise it could end up a game of last-second rock-paper-scissors at certain ranks.
one thing that is worrying is if you are fighting known one-tricks on ladder, so you know what jobs to pick. So the aftermath of adding this will cause one of two things:

    - one-trick player is prone to get countered hard if they don't one-trick a meta job
    - it forces players to learn multiple jobs early on rather than learning one job properly first then advancing on other jobs

    Pros and cons, really.

    [mainly my pointers]

I wouldn't be super opposed to be able to switch jobs inside but still put a restriction to one of each type per team.

I kinda don't want to be dancer charmed for 20 seconds by 5 dancers.

I'd be more worried of 5x WHM throwing death lasers every 60s. Also 5x Polymorph would arguably be hell on earth.

Oh I guarantee you that a lot of party lists would look like slot machines before the game starts lol

It's brilliant. You know it, I know it, the devs know it.

Or wait, are you saying you love the garbage currently in play? Yikes!

Frontlines has 72 players. Switching has little impact and it's not a ranked mode. Being able to switch willy nilly in a ranked CC match would be completely broken. It would just be constant counter picking jobs every time someone dies. The matchmaking isn't great, but it does take into account the jobs roles. More often than not if there's a tank on one side then there will be one on the other side. Being able to switch at will would break the matchmaking.

It's a stupid idea and you should feel bad for suggesting it. Get good with the job you picked to queue with or go play unranked mode.

And to be frank, if you're jumping into ranked only for the exp....you're the problem.

It would be nice to switch if you go in and find that Immortal Flames has like 70% melee characters, then you can switch to melee as well.
